Yes it was an epic fail... on Pac's part. It showed that Pac is nothing on his own and not holding the cards in negotiation. Great observation. :good However this is about Mayweather's chin. Which I feel is average at best, but his skills more than make up for it.
Who has been conspicuously absent from boxing ever since the fight even though has no injuries... :think
Mayweather has a good chin...if he had a bad, or average chin as some have been saying....he would have been knocked down and hurt by now (Although Judah did get him down with a flash knockdown). A hard shot to the chin can either take your legs from beneath you, resulting in a knockdown, or it can wobble you and make you lose your senses for a few seconds. If I remember rightly, the shots that have wobbled Mayweather have all been clean, hard shots. Name me one boxer who has not been wobbled at least once in their career, or even appeared hurt in their career? It's not often. Mayweather's recovery time is second to none. In my opinion, Mosley and Richardson's gameplan was to look for that perfect shot and unload early...he landed those early shots perfectly, the first one on the chin...and the second big one on the temple. I said at the time that either one of those big right hands would have dropped any other active Welterweight (excluding a Margarito type chin)...and I still believe that. And when people are comparing Mayweather's chin to Margarito...Margarito probably has/had an ATG chin, you only have to look at the shots he took from both Cotto and Mosley in consecutive fights to realise that. So when comparing Mayweather's chin to Margarito's...of course Mayweather's chin isn't going to be as good as Margarito's, but that doesn't make it bad. Take a look at the shot he took from Mosley in the 11th round I think, and tell me he has a bad chin, or average chin then.
No he wouldn't you idiot, since they didn't hit him that often at all. They would have stopped him if they found his chin more often, especially Shane. Floyd's chin just hasn't been thoroughly tested. It's a fact. Go on and worship the dude for his defense and other skills, but quit sayign he has a great chin when there's no evidence to support that. I've heard some of you idiots say he has a better chin then margarito. Floyd fanboys are the worst.
I wouldn't say outclass but I predict it'll be a fairy one sided fight. I think Floyd will have his moments but pac will overwhelm him, and thus taking most of the rounds and scoring a mid-late TKO. Ref or corner stoppage. Yeah I'll take a bet. BUT THE FIGHT AINT ****ING HAPPENING. Not this year anyway which is when it absolutely should happen. A year in boxing can be a lifetime. 1 guy might be completely over the hill by then, or Pac could lose his next fight , you never know. Give a big thank you to Floyd.
Did he really decline 14 days or was that Bob Arum? And when was that **** even offerd? Like after negotiations had completely failed and burned to the ground? No , say thanks to Floyd for not accepting any of the 3 compromises Manny tried to make with him on blood testing. Thanks again to Floyd for not agreein to 14 days which he was originally okay with. Thanks again to Floyd for running off into retirement again after he's made a pile of money.
If you followed what happened you'd know. Both sides went into mediation which failed. The negotiations were basically killed at that point then all of a sudden we hear about this 14 day thing. It's all bull****. Pac was probably too fed up or didnt give a **** at that point, or Arum told them to **** off without relaying any info to pac. Either way your just making excuses. Why was 14 days a problem for Floyd now? And to be honest, we don't even know what Pac offered him in these latest negotiations that Floyd's side lied about. Blood testing might not even be an issue anymore; if it is why didn't Floyd or Gayllerbe use that as the excuse? Here's the bottom line; pac said he wanted this fight from day one and he tried to compromise on blood testing and Floyd wouldn't back off. He said he could beat Pac easy and he hid behind drug testing. Pac tries to make the fight this year and Floyd goes into hiding, why? He got his ass called out, and he ran out of excuses that's why. I bet you Pac totally conceded to his demands in that last contract and Floyd ran away. Why else woudl he take all this heat from the media and not come back with anything? You know that's totally unlike Floyd. He had no ****ing excuse. The ***** just wanted money, that's all. He got his paycheck from the mosley fight and he's gonna live off it for another year/2 years , by then the fight will be a footnote in history.
You completely skipped out on what I asked. 14 days was rejected by Arum during mediation he even confirmed this after he was called out on his lie. So Ill ask again though, why is 14 days okay now? Before, if Pac was tested inside 24 days he would need 3 days to recover. NOW, if he's tested in the 24-14 day window he's perfectly okay now? You want to hate on Mayweather for asking for these test and being a *****, yet you refuse to look at, the reasons Pac wont take the test is because he's mentally weak when he gets his blood drawn. I love Pac but give me a damn break. It's a drug test, big ****ing whoop, you know it, I know it, everyone else knows that if they were in Pac's position taking the test would of been no problem.
Its pretty good. And the punch that made him buckle from Shane was the SECOND big shot that round after an earlier one that caught him. The majority of welters would have went down from that punch, so he is better than average in that regard, I really think his conditioning helped too. His good chin combined with the defense makes him very very hard for anyone to stop. The thing he showed in both the Corely fights and Shane fights is he kept his cool and didnt panic when he was hurt and didnt allow them to land any big follow up shots and he recovered quickly. Corely backed him up to the ropes and threw a big flurry but Mayweather slipped all of them even when he was a bit dazed.
