Mayweather wouldn't last 1 round with Ali or any good heavyweight.
Why do these pipsqueak boxers think they have a right to be compared to real heavyweight champions?

Imagine being too small to compete against the best in the world at any sport, so you spend a whole career competing against others who are also too small. Then claim you're better than all those you could never have beaten

I agree that beating the top guy at every weight is the biggest single thing and that Floyd did this at 130, 135, 147 and 154. But of course beating the next in line also matters. Ali's resume wouldn't be the same if he avoided anyone with a pulse after beating Liston and Foreman.

Not saying Floyd did, but there were notable contenders missing from his time at WW.

PS. Floyd and a younger Mosley is a bit like the Robinson-Burley thing. I don't hold it against a fighter that he didn't face fighters in other weight classes.

My fat slow brother is "pfp" faster than Usain Bolt because, although he's fat and slow, he finished 20 metres in front of other fat slow slobs in every race. He won the fat man Olympics five times. He competed against all the fastest fat slow men in history and was never defeated.

    That sums up "pfp".

To be honest it depends on how you define P4P.

Rocky and Mayweather would be in the same reach class. Except it's boxing, and reach classes aren't a thing.

If you define it as anything but success at a given weight class or classes you're not doing it right. Chuck Wepner would have murdered Sugar Ray Robinson.

This thread needs a little levity. Young Griffo said Rocky is 50-0 because he won his "Super Fight" with Muhammad Ali. Actually he's 50-1 because he lost the version that was shown in the UK. That brings up another point. Ali was more loved abroad at one time than in his own country

Seems logical looking at the racial climate of the 60's.

Its how good a boxer is regardless of weight i.e how good would a boxer be if they were the same size
