Had he cleared out the division two years ago it would have meant more to me than today's division or what is left of it. He can still do very good. He can beat, Mosley, Pac, and/or Clottey.

He will have done something he never has done. Clean out a division. It is hard to envision that in my head if he never has done that. It will be hard to get him in the ring with Mosley. That is a great fight.

Nobody would have cleaned this welterweight division. It's too good.

i See many people confuse cleaning out with becoming The man , its not like he beats 2 fighters and its cleaned out , to clean out u have to beat every big threat in the division, even if that threat lost to a guy u already beat , floyd will never do that.

    Let's see...

    Cotto beat Shane
    Margo beat Cotto
    Shane beat Margo

Fakk, they all have lost to each other and all are not worthy opponents of floydie.

He'd be the ****ing MAN! He's the man now, but shares the spot with Manny.....Cleaning out the WW division will garner him the kind of respect that has eluded him in his career. He has respect for the talent and accomplishments in the sport but has never truly challenged himself agaisnt a true great besides DLH....Shane is next in line so he's on the right path.!

If Mayweather uses his five fights to include comp like Mosley and Pacquaio it would have made up for not fighting Margo, Cotto, and Williams.

he has the boxing skills to beat the best of 147 division, but he doesn't have the balls to fight them.

he's the man now? after beating a lightweight  so if Chad dawson moves up to heavy and gets knocked out by haye that means haye is the man? what kind of logic is that?

He needs to start to fight legitimate welterweights from now. Chances are he's going to fight Mosley next & Pacquiao end of the year, that would be a great achievement beating them but i want him to fight Paul Williams sometime also.

That's all that left in the Welterweight currently, fighting Cotto won't enhance his legacy since he has fighting like a broken man his first loss & fighting no credibility Margarito after what he pulled with his hand wraps would be pointless.

I might be a reaching by this statement but sometimes i think Floyd doesn't believe in his ability as much as his fans do.
