Floyd has been impressive in moving up in weight, dominating and staying undefeated. Sure his opposition isn't great but its very good and he's dominated like he should have.

yeah i agree with you, people need to stop saying that PBF needs to fight williams. He is not even a ww anymore hes a mw. Only if williams starts to fight in ww then we can say PBF needs to fight him

Yea man i know, but im assuming that by saying "he's the man" you meant he should be considered as the best welterweight today , and i disagree with that , cuz in my mind beating a lightweight doesnt give u nr 1 spot in that star-packed out division, it has to be proved your the best not by opinions and analysis of potential-match-ups but by the real fights

He will win the lineal championship when he defeats Mosley. Then unify the belts by defeating Pac and Berto.

Very true.. He's got his championship fight tho coming up with Mosley

If Floyd beats Mosley and then the Pacquiao-Clottey winner, then he can retire as one of the all time greats. That is all fight fans want, whether they like him or hate him. We just want to see him fight the best.

It depends on what you mean by cleaning out the welterweight division.
I personally think he had his chance to clean out the welterweight division and blew it.

He didn't fight Mosley in his prime
He didn't fight Margarito in his prime
He didn't fight Cotto in his prime
he didn't fight Williams at WW

I say let him have his JLW LW legacy and call it quits.

Floyd, thus far, has done as much cleaning up in the WW division as he does in his own house. Yet, if he can get past Mosley, Pac and one more belt holder, those accomplishments alone should put him in the top 15 ATGs! IMO

I wish Floyd would realize that you don't have to be undefeated to be great, but as we've all been informed, "Legacy don't pay bills." :-(

Welterweights fighters doesn't include fighters who recently fought at Lightweight and Featherweights.

....or is it possible that his fans are just being dazzled by his skills? Maybe Floyd knows that he does not have the heart to compete with another talented fighter?

I really hope that the Floyd vs SSM fight happens because I think that will answer my question; a fight with Pac and that would give that answer an exclamation point.
