A guy that takes two tune ups to fight Gatti has to be considered the ultimate cherrypicker.

There is a difference between a tune-up and an eliminator.

I don't think this one fight is the basis for the 'ducking' accusation. He does deserve a tune-up, it's the rest of his post-135 career that needs explaining.

Facts are facts, but Baldy was the champ after beating Judah. Was it the best fight? No.. but that's how the division was laid out at the time. People tend to forget that 147 wasn't as deep when Floyd came into the picture there.

    We are talking 2006:

Shane was fighting up at 154 ****ing around with Vargas.

Cotto was still at 140 fighting Branco and Paulie.

Paul Williams was still a prospect.

Margarito is the one guy you can say something about, coming off the Cintron win but he fought Gomez and the Santos defeat was still heavy, but he was legit at the time.

People forget that 2006 wasn't the biggest time for WW.
