Mayweather-Corrales. Jones-Toney. Why are 2 of the best wins of our era criticized?

actually sometimes its both (which is what i said in the first post)

excuses are just that, excuses, but where I disagree with you is that they are always bull****.

for example, saying Morales was shot in the 3rd fight against Pacquiao, whether its true or not, is an excuse. Some excuses are worth more than others, but they are not all bull****. At the end of the day, it is what it is.

Bull****...I still remember the line of Jones Toney because I bet on the fight. it was my first and last vegas style bet it was -180 Toney for those that arent betters that means you would have to bet $180 on Toney to win $100, and $100 on Jones to win $180...That isnt pick'm...Mayweather was a dog as well, not as big but too big for the level of both fighters, I dont remember the odds

if its -180 that does not mean you have to bet 100 on Jones to win 180 or else Vegas would not be making money

if its -180 for Toney then Jones is probably +140 or so

...bu he said it has nothing to do with resumes, supposed to be head to head...

...the fight sucked...if the fight sucked, and you are not factoring in resumes how can it be the greatest win...??

Okay, I thought Jones was more of a slight underdog like a +120. It's strange that it would be both -180 for Toney and +180 for Jones. Usually they make the underdog pay less, so they can collect extra. For example, I remember Mayweather being a -270 on the odds I found, and Hatton was closer to +240. A +180 underdog however is still far from being a "huge" underdog.

Mayweather was a 7-5 favorite, however.

Mayweather defends his WBC 130-pound title against Corrales in a fight he needs to regain the lost momentum of a career that once seemed to have no limits. He is a 7-5 favorite in the fight, which will be shown on HBO

-180 was the line, not sure about the other side. I dont recall a second line. I know that most list something like

    Jones +100
    Toney -180

I agree with the original poster about Mayweather and Corrales, but i think Toney was unusually sluggish.
