The funny thing about the video. Ricky was doing or trying to do the same dirty **** in every clip. lOL Throwing elbows..head locks, holding and hitting...funny'
firstly mayweather was hittin and holding every right hand he threw, mayweather done all of the holding and every time he didnt cheat his head would rock back from hattons shots
Cortez was disgusting Teddy Atlas ripped him a new ******* after that fight and called it a disgrace to boxing-I tend to agree.
Wow, I'm shocked at the amount of elbows that landed cleanly. Cortez definately favoured Floyd, no doubt. Did it change the result? Probably not. Though taking clean elbows does help in one getting knocked out, so who knows!? Would've loved to see that fight with the referee that did Hatton-Tszyu... :rofl Note: I'm no Hatton fanboy either... he beat my boy (Tszyu).
It was actually 3 against 1. Mayweather, Cortez and the Mr. Ringpost. If that damn old ringpost hadn't been there, Ricky would have went on to bust up Floyd and attain the glory he so richly deserves.
Hatton missed all of his shots so thats not likely. Both fighters bent the rules and Hatton was no more innocent than Mayweather he just came off worse. Mayweather is just better at boxing and fighting rough than Hatton
Jimmy - watch the end of round 9 of the Hatton/Tszyu match...then go away and stop embarrassing Hatton and Britain.
It's funny that when Mayweather had Hatton bent over the ropes and punched him in the back of the head nothing happens but when Hatton does the same to Mayweather he loses a point. And what the hell does 'get's' mean?
it would have been a different story. i am a big hatton fan so i possibly sound very biased but i truly truly know having followed rickys carreer that he was not at his beat that night he was probably 50% to his best and i believe that mayweather give his best in that fight so what would the fight tell in a rematch which wouldnt get under rickys skin as much, new ref new location and new ricky hatton LETS GET IT ON
There's no doubt that Floyd is the better fighter, but there's equally no doubt that Cortez did an AWFUL job reffing that fight, and I do think at least the point deduction (if not Cortez's general ineptitude) led to Hatton becoming desperate and opening himself up for more punishment as the fight progressed.
hatton was getting caught with the check hook the ENTIRE fight. He didn't all-of-a-sudden start to open up and then got hit with a good shot. Mayweather was adjusting the entire night, and breaking Hatton down. I believe the point deduction was excuseable. Hatton blatantly tried to hit him in the back of the head. Mayweather was stuck between the ropes, Hatton then came down with a hard illegal punch, although it did not land, the bad intentions behind it is enough for me to agree to the -1
Good videos, got some true into them but the only punch that landed with no tricks or anything was the one to sent the Hitman into the corner,
