As a hatton fan myself, I know he still would have lost. However, I think hatton could have won a few more rounds had the ref been different.

I think Hatton will fight so much better as the bad blood between the guys has gone. the emotions and anger wont allow hattons frustration to be reached. he will still fight on sheer heart and desire and he would be in even better shape then UNDEFEATED. and i know its a brave call but i think hatton could make all you americans EAT YOUR WORDS

A truely great fighter wouldnt have had to resort to dirty tactics regardless of the opposition and certainly wouldnt have needed the ref in his pocket.

Why did Cortez allow all of Hopkins holding v Calzaghe if he was genuinely consistant and "firm but Fair"?

you just don't get it do you .. ?? Hatton doesn't have the skill set to deal with Floyd, Hatton relies on his strength more then he does on his boxing skill.
hatton's food benging and weight gains in between fights has finally reveled itself, he spend so much time losing weight during training that he has not improved his skill during that time .. Hatton will fight floyd the same way regardless what his mind set is , he can not out box , inside fight, or even out slug floyd , he has nothing to offer.

Hatton can't beat PBF period. Not at 140, not at catch weight of 145 not at 147 not in his own living room. PBF owns his ass deal with it.:hi:

If anything I think Floyd will beat Hatton worse in their second fight. He now knows more about Hatton. He already knew he was smarter, faster, with better boxing skills... but now he knows he's stronger than Hatton, that he can hurt him, and that if he fights aggressively that Hatton does not have the tools to keep him off or even fight back. Also Hatton can't deal with body shots very well.

The point is being missed. This is about a referee, not the boxers.
We all know the outcome, we all know who won. No ref could have won it for Hatton. BUT - the reffing was crap and biased. That is true.
