not really. this fight doesn't need hype u got mayweather(fans and haters), cotto(puerto ricans), alvarez(mexicans), mosley( some fans). all on cinco de mayo
Kellerman spells it out well. Cotto can't box Floyd he needs to be the animal of old that goes to the body with that left hook. Cotto isn't that guy anymore. He's civilized, content... he doesn't have the vitality and youthfulness to win. Honestly, Ortiz was more of a threat because Ortiz was young and energetic. It's really simple and obvious to me that Cotto will get handedly outboxed. It's not that Ortiz would win, it's just he had a path of victory you could actually envision. I think the 1st 4 rounds showed that, and in the Cotto fight Mayweather is going to put on an even better schooling. I'm sure the lavish praise will be out because Cotto is being too over hyped as an opponent. And I'm a huge Cotto fan... just my take.
Yeah, but in this face off he's got to bull****. Talking about seeing him as an undefeated fighter, insincerely jumping on the Margo scandal, etc.
Nothing really, he's bolstering Cotto up more than he is. Hopefully boxing fans don't buy into and get their expectations out of whack.
Floyd was being a dick but trying to disguise it as Hotsauce is saying. Giving Cotto respect verbally but body language and actions telling a different story. He has probably noticed that Cotto's worst performances ocurred after respectful fight promo with his last two wins coming after some hatred pre fight. You're welcome.
Mayweather was just praising Cotto to try to legitimise this easy fight and make people forget about him ducking Pacquiao.
