Of those 3 I think Floyd has the best chance against Clottey. But he'd still lose.

This forum gets funnier by the day. Cotto before Margarito would give Mayweather a good bout, but I'd still pick Mayweather via SD/UD. But Cotto, Clottey and Margarito would beat him easily? Tougher fights than Pacquiao?

    What absolute bull****!

Still probably a fight worth watching...Cotto from 2007 IMO would have done just about as well as anyone at the time but would have ultimately lost.

Is anyone here actually so suprised that this fight might happen. Before Cotto lost to a cheating margarito, and then lost to a solid Manny, Mayweather would barely even mention his name. Now that he's a little shopworn, he doesn't mind to fight him. This guy truly is pathetic. Won't make a bit of difference if he beats Cotto. He still continues to avoid Manny, and that all that really matters.

Both u fellas missed the most important part of this. Margorito won cause he cheated, period. He walked through punches. But without loaded gloves, Cotto could have stopped him late, or beat on a decision.

A couple of years ago they say Cotto beats Floyd, and PAc today beats the Cotto of a couple of years ago lol... SMDH...

floyd has lots of trouble and was beaten by Jose Luis Castillo's pressure. Cotto brings more than that plus an elite jab.

Cotto doesn't have the skills or intestinal fortitude to beat a fighter like Floyd. PAc's been ko'd twice, and hasn't rematched either man. Floyd gave Castillo a rematch because he knew Castillo fought him tough and deserved a rematch, and Floyd clearly won, and left no doubt this time. Funny that Floyd clearly lost to Castillo, but PAc clearly beat JMM in the rematch lol...

Im getting a hard on thinking about this matchup right now.

    Round 1 - Cotto
    Round 2- Cotto
    Round 3 - Cotto
    Round 4 - Mayweather
    Round 5 - Mayweather
    Round 6 - Cotto
Round 7 - Close lean towards Cotto
    Round 8 - Cotto
    Round 9 - Mayweather
    Round 10 - Mayweather
    Round 11 - Mayweather
    Round 12 - Cotto

    7-5 Cotto

Mayweather started too late, he was expecting a jabbing match early but Cotto was already into high gear from the 1st bell. Mayweather looked like he had adjusted properly but Cotto surprises Mayweather by going into a jab war with him stealing a couple of the middle rounds. Mayweather catches on and is in control at the end but Cotto goes all out in the 12th not doing much damage but definetely putting more work in than Mayweather.
