Interesting scenario we have here for the winner of Saturday's fight, assuming the winner whether Cotto or Canelo wins in dominant fashion what is the bigger, more significant, interesting fight for Spring 16"?

    Here are the options
Cotto treats Canelo like he did Geale&Martinez giving him probably his biggest win and stamping him as an ATG. A bout with Mayweather would really be like the last of a dying breed squaring off in a rematch of a competitive and entertaining maybe not close fight. A win for Cotto would take him to new heights, for Mayweather a record 5th Lineal Title vs the Legitimate MW Champ.

    In the other corner
Alvarez puts on a Kirkland, Angulo type masterpiece stamping himself as the new bigget star in a passing of the torch type win. A fight with GGG while not as big monetary wise is a huge litmus test for both and a fight that would be for a 3 Belt unification GGG though untested has monster hype. A win for Canelo would make him the clear cut top dog, while a win for GGG would turn him into a bigger name high profile fighter and would make him the unquestioned MW King.

regardless of how the fights played out or who you think would win, what fight is the biggest not money wise but historically, interest wise and so on.... poll coming soon.

How is this even a question?

Alvarez vs GGG is a WAY better fight. Mayweather vs Cotto is not even comparable.

Besides, Mayweather is a proven drug cheat. If it was a clean VADA tested fight, sure, why not Mayweather vs Cotto, but that's not the case.

Since the Ortiz fight, Mayweather's T/E ratio has been as low as a 173 year old man's.

What fight would you rather see? I want to see someone give GGG a competitive fight. Alvarez might have the skills to do that.

And I think it ends in a KO regardless of who wins.

I like both fight's but being honest I'd choose Canelo-GGG seeing as Cotto is on the way out and Mayweather might have 1 more fight.
I think in terms of appeal Cotto should he win big a rematch would be a bigger as far as intrigue. I think Canelo-GGG would be better for the sport.

No interest in ever seeing Floyd in the ring ever again so id rather see GGG/Canelo. I thik Cotto wins the fight though so that scenario isnt going to happen anytime soon.

True but if Cotto wins in spectacular fashion I wouldn't be surprised to see this fight.

Legitimate MW champ? Who's that? MW is 160 lbs, last time i checked. Unless of course you count Pac's 150 lb title legitimate.

Can you save the meat riding for a second please, Pacquiao won a vacant title vs an unranked opponent coming off suspension. Cotto won his from the Lineal MW Champ completely different the question isn't who you consider the real Champ its what's the bigger more important fight.
