Yea they need to wake up...nothing since 07 :patsch. What do they think all the free buffets, free rooms, and free limo rides were . That is not accomplishment? :patsch.

I agree the fight is 6 years and 2 loses too late. It's a shame how a fighter and or promoter can completely hijack the sport and do what they please while ignoring the fans. But that's what boxing has become unfortunately.

However it still is a decent and interesting fight. I will be watching. It could be a lot worse, imagine if Floyd bent us all over and ****ed us dry with an Ortiz rematch...

Pretty much. As much as there will be many knee-jerk reactions to his post, he's right about fighting back buy not shoveling more money at these guys. If Manny and Mayweather weren't raking in tens of millions per fight to take the safer route, then the likelihood of the fight we wanted to see would have been much greater.

The boxing fan's greatest weapon doesn't lie in his voice, it lies in his wallet.

It's quite the opposite...you are what's wrong with boxing, top tier fighters getting in the ring with each other is what this sport needs not judgmental fans who can only be satisfied by half naked men wrestling in boy shorts.

The worst is people think this is actually a path to greatness by making these fights so carefully !

    Agreed.

And to think fmj & pac could give it a massive boost by simply stepping in the ring vs each other... this sport is gonna die soon, its already on life support.

Which event will have the higher PPV numbers; Mayweather/Cotto or Jones/Evans?

Hopefully when these 2 retire the powers that b will be force to make fights happen ..The promoters are the main issue ! Boxing needs more tournaments like the super 6 ,more undispiuted champs etc to get back to where it was over 2 decades ago ..Having two fighters make a boat load of money with out equals is what really killed the sport !

As long as these 2 clowns (fmj & pac) continue to avoid each other, they deserve no respect from the fans... & that includes not paying to see them fight... I`ll watch for free & root against them but I`ll never pay like a dumb ****, **** them.

If you really want to make a difference, you should ignore them. Don't post about them, don't talk about them, don't watch their fights. Entertainers thrive off of attention, good or bad. If you really want to send a message, and you really believe what you're saying, then you should completely ignore both of them all together.

I haven't paid for a PPV in about 6 yrs .. No way in hell will these fools make money off me ..Im not paying for mismatches over and over again ..They really have the public fooled into thinking its "the best vs the best " when its far from it .. You ever have so many PPV's where one fighter has always been the favorite :huh Yeah sure these guys are the best
