Mayweather-Cotto is an example of why boxing is considered a joke sport

I do to ,I can wait a week I have HBO and Showtime :hey.. I think I pay enough with that ..I love the sport but don't love the politics around it ..I personally think PPV is the biggest rip off and would love to see it go away and bring back major fights to network to TV ..Most of the PPV fights can be on HBO or broadcast TV ..No need to pay 60.bucks each time for mismatches !

:smoke....Honestly outside of those two and Maybe Faber, most the guys fight like glorified street fighters....chin in the air swinging like girls, no sense of timing and spacing....defense is horrid.....MMA and UFC just dont have many good fighters....Ken Shamrock, Frank Shamrock, Chuch Liddell, The Gracie family were and are real martial artists and at some point or another mastered a particular discipline of fighting...most MMA fighters today are guys who know the basics but arent very good at anything

Could very well end up like that whether we like it or not, at least from a $ standpoint.

Pac-Marquez 4 could challenge it but other than that or Mayweather-Martinez, nadda.

 

They`ve been saying that for 2 years, neither fighter respects the fans enough to get it done.

i dont blame the fighters... even though they havent fought each other they had some good fights...its so much politics in boxing at the highest level...and lets be honest do you think Arum wants Mayweather to possibly beat his cash cow...nope...also Mayweather had to leave Arum to become the star he is today playiing second fiddle to ODLH on top rank...Arum is a joke people are blind to it....I find it funny that the most avoided fighters in the sport are his fighters...go figure, he milks them until he cant anymore

 

From a financial standpoint, your definitely right. I dont see any fight bringing more money so in that sense its the biggest fight this year.
In terms of entertainment value or meaning, Berto Ortiz will **** all over this fight

 

A former WWF Wrestler and NFL flunkie was HW Champ with a glorious record of 2-2.Did i mention that he didnt start MMA until he was well into his 20's.

Dont ever compare us to that **** sport.
