Thats why i listed that in my OP. Schafer could be out of his lawsuit by next summer, meaning he can team up with Floyd

He really should. He's either overtraining or he needs his body to rejuvenate. He's getting up there in age.

If he decides not to fight on May is because he knows he can't beat Cotto/Canelo unless its the Pac fight. His ego won't admit it so he will go on "vacation".

Where are all the *****s saying that Canelo could never compete with Floyd on a PPV? :rofl
Canelo is only starting and is going to bench the PPV "king" because he knows he can't outsell it :D Goes to show that you need another big name to make record breaking PPV's. Not just because your name is Floyd or Pac and fight whoever is suitable to you would sell!

Well if Schaefer comes in and take Ellerbe's position, that in and of itself could take up to a year to get settled since Schaefer is essentially still under contract with GBP until 2018 so they'd have to figure out some kind of buyout or settlement to allow Richard to join TMT as their new head figure.

I read an interesting article yesterday (I think Maxboxing) saying Floyd was disappointed with his TMT stable, the lack of talent, and how Ellerbe doesn't really promote for the fighters in his stable in the same manner that other top promoters do for theirs, and that Schaefer can obviously lure a lot of top level talent to the TMT stable in the near future.

I think that's probably the most important thing on FLoyd's mind right now because with the right type of talent in his stable (actual champions and blue chip prospects,) he'll have himself setup very comfortably for the rest of his life as far as streaming/continued revenue goes.

I just hope he can allow all that to happen in the background and continue fighting twice a year. I don't like the idea of him waiting until next september to fight, who knows how old he'll look by than.

Why is it etched in stone that these guys can only fight in May and September?

he wont, because his business model is different.

if he wants to make money as a promoter, he will be like arum.

I think pac wants the fight. It's Bob who doesn't want it.

I don't think Floyd saves face by not going up against the Cotto-Canelo card. I think he will go up against that card, his ego won't let him step aside.
