Even if he had a better resume he never had the personality for a fraction of the crossover appeal Ali had.
    And I'm a fan.

my nig Floyd is a cherry picker. Team Pacquiao studied and perfected the art of cherry picking though

    No he couldn't...

Different times, different caracters, and he's not a Heavyweight either so he never would have been the "King of boxing"

He could have also lost to all the people he stepped up to and completely ballsed it up.

Nobody can be like Ali, much less Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd could never be as big as Ali. FLoyd doesnt have the charisma or exciting style to reach that type of level. If you notice he only got big after the Hoya fight and that was the later half of his career.

Not even close. Boxing was actually relevant then and he was a heavyweight with more charisma and more exciting style

Really? I've followed the division on/off since around 2004 before he fought Gatti and always assumed he was the main man since then. Do you mean mainstream/casual fans?

    Resume means nothing nowadays

he lacks the personality of Ali

Floyd hate is like 80-20, almost no one in America likes him

Ali was atleast 50-50, divisive, yet there were enough people who actually liked him.

Plus he was clever and entertaining without being predictable and fake like Floyd

Some of you really have no perspective on how much Ali was hated, outside the black community in his hey day.

What competition could he have fought? Margarito? Paul Williams? Seriously?
