And it had nothing to do with reaching for greatness? They usually go hand in hand, Mayweather gets paid enough to fight Cotto, it comes down to greed after that

I 2nd that, I mean I wanna see FLoyd vs COtto, but s**t for that kinda money he wll be gettin 4 this fight, there is no way in hell he is gonna turn tha t down. He is probably gonna make something like 30million from this fight. And Floyd knows he can win, none of us in Floyd position would turn that down.

FLoyd vs Cotto probably will happen laer on this year, and as asterion said I would rather see FLoyd fight than just chilling doin nothing.

The fight is at 147, Mayweather Sr. is going to train Oscar. SO all those things im pretty sure HBO will market in the 24/7 series to get fight fans amped up for it

His manager? I dont give a damn what his manager might have said and whatever timeframe it may be taken from.

The bottomline is that after Hatton, Floyd said he wanted a year off. Arum/Cotto expressed interest in Floyd but have suggested DLH fight Cotto in the mean time.

Now suddenly? Its PBF vs DLH 2?? ITS BULL**** REG!!! Throwing BS at BS wont solve anything. This fight is a JOKE and wont be as successful the second time around, GUARANTEED:good

"Right now a fight with De la Hoya is more marketable than one with Mayweather," said Evangelista, "even though De la Hoya lost to Mayweather in his last fight and Mayweather won last night against Hatton, De La Hoya remains the most marketable....the other names that have been mentioned to fight with Miguel do not compare economically with a fight with De la Hoya."

Which do you prefer, Oscar/Floyd or Oscar/Cotto? I know damn well which one Floyd prefers. Spin it anyway you want, if Floyd turns down this fight we get Cotto/DLH. Have you even been reading my posts? I'm not talking about what fights I want, or whether or not this fight is bull****. I'm simply stating why it would be completely counter productive for Money May to turn down this fight.

Don't see how this fight will have more success than the first one, everyone knows what is going to happen. Mayweather will win a UD

"Right now" ? YEAH beacuse TEAM MAYWEATHER SAID THEY WANT A YEAR OFF and have made no interest or steps towards making PBF vs Cotto WHICH IS WHAT EVERYONE WANTS.

Reg, you've sucked ass throughout this post and I find you're manipulation and twisting RIDICULOUS. But why expect anything else from the majority of Floyd fans??

I appreciate the feedback, contructive criticism is always welcome. Unfortunately, you are wrong. Floyd says alot of ****. That doesn't mean people should take what he says literally. Remember, Floyd said DLH would be his last opponent. He then fought Hatton 7 months later. He said he was going into MMA, that **** aint happening. He said he was taking two years off, now he's set to fight again in May. The fact of the matter is, no reasonable person actually believed that Floyd was dead set on taking a year or two off.

Let's be real here, Hoya is an easier fight for Cotto than is Mayweather, and it's potentially worth more money to Cotto. Let me give you a little equation. Easier fight + More money = where do I sign? It's not rocket science. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that, for Cotto, fighting Hoya is a more desirable option than fighting Lil Floyd. And don't give me anymore bull**** about Floyd taking a year or two off. We both know that was a bull**** statement. I hope this clears up some things for you.:good
