I am not convincing you nor am I saying I agreed with the retirement. I am saying that he was locked into more fights and IMHO would have never met Cotto.

Why? Because he was fighting life and death with Zab and nobody would have ever even expected him to have a chance against Mayweather.

His legend grew precisely because Mayweather retired. Same as Margarito's grew when there was no way in hell for the two to meet.

Just listen to the floyd sr. interview.

I am convinced he has told jr to not fight pac.

    100% convinced.

    C'mon now.

Did Arum and Cotto do all they could to make that fight??

From what I remember it was Arum that QUICKLY said

    "We don't need Mayweather"

All Cotto would say when asked during post fight interviews:

"I fights who my peoples tells me to fights"

Those aren't the words of a promoter or fighter eager for a fight:deal

Floyd was retired after he beat judah....

Floyd officially retired and removed himself from the rankings.

So where does cotto go? Up against 'the most feared ww' margarito.

    It doesn't even matter.

I give no credibility to floyd in hypothetical match ups because thats the fights he avoids...

"floyd woulda beat cotto" "woulda beat margarito" "woulda beat shane in his prime" "woulda beat oscar in his prime" "woulda beat williams 147" "woulda beat pacquiao"

    It's getting ****ing old.

The p4p king of coulda woulda shoulda.

I can't believe that even after the hype trains have crashed that people are still questioning whether Floyd would've beaten Margo and Cotto :patsch

You don't get free wins against guys after the fact.

Prime cotto would have been trouble for floyd because of the jab and pressure.

Castillo beat him on pressure without a jab.
