I know what you mean. I voted maybe,,,and clearly its because im waiting to see if I get hyped up by the 24/7 series
Not my first choice of opponent for either guy. I would prefer to see any of: Cotto Mayweather Cotto Delahoya Mosley Mayweather Williams Mayweather Delahoya Wright But with the possible exception of Castillo, Oscar has come the closest of any of his opponents, to beating Floyd and is one of the two or three best possibilities of beating him now. Considering the massive purses to be made from this fight, it certainly makes sense for both fighters. One could make over $20M and the other, over $30. Who among you would spurn that kind of money ? Floyd will still be there and will eventually fight Cotto. When he does, the fight will be even bigger with the anticipation.
Guys put on an overrated sparring match the first time and DLH' gutless ass took no chances and fought a spiritless fight. These ****s arent going to rip me off. No PPV for me no way.
Maybe, it also depends on how good the undercard is. If it sucks like last time then I will seriously consider not to dish out 55 bucks for it and catch a live stream.
They are seriously out of their minds if they think this fight can do anywhere near what the first fight did. In fact, I doubt this fight will even crack 1 million buys. I don't know ANYONE who walked away from the first fight feeling satisfied that they had watched a good, or even decent fight. The only impressive thing about the first fight was the PPV numbers it did. I'd also be willing to be that DLH/Cotto would do virtually the same amount of buys as DLH/Mayweather II. The whole Mexican American vs. Puerto Rican would rekindle some of the passions that existed for the DLH/Trinidad fight. So not only would that fight be more intriguing, better on paper, and overall good for boxing, instead we get this garbage that is just gonna turn more real fans away and end up disappointing casual fans again. And the worst part of it all is that it won't even happen til September!! At least if it was in May, they could just get it out of the way with and then hopefully Mayweather would move on to Cotto finally, but now, at the VERY soonest, we won't be seeing Cotto/Mayweather until around spring of 2009 (if at all). What a load of garbage. Boycott the shyt out of this fight.
No. It's all about the money, neither one cares about the fans. It's time to boycott PPV, way too expensive.
