Yep as I've been saying since the fight occured, De La hoya was a hair away from being KD'd. If Floyd should have followed it up with another shot and probably would have dropped him.
True. It baffles me how some people still have DLH winning or drawing that fight. I admit, I was a bit confused watching live because of the biased crowd cheering for Oscar and the biased commentary, but when I watched the fight again it was clear as day. Even if you give every single remotely close round to Oscar he lost 7-5. To be fair it was more like 8-4.
Agreed. Most "experts" and objective boxing fans scored it 8-4 for PBF. At worst, 7-5. It's only the Oscarsexuals who had Oscar winning.
He was nowhere near being KD'd. And those were crap punches he was throwing, to be honest, Floyd exploited them easily there.
First time I watched it, live, I had the sound off 'cause I can't take the Oscarsexuals. I had it 8-4 Floyd.
he didnt land anything.....and this is pretty much how the fight went....he threw 7 punches and landed NONE...floyd threw 2 and landed 2..lol:rofl
Dude this idea that somehow Oscar was close to winning is like the biggest myth circulating among the boxing community and its "fans". That Oscar lost because he stopped throwing his jab. I was in a thread a few days ago where quite a few members of this website had the fight even going into the 10th. I dont know how they score fights, or if they think punching someones arms should count as effective aggression but yeah this view is not uncommon at all. I myself couldnt see giving Oscar more the 4 rounds. I tried to, I really did but I just cant score a round for a fighter who doesnt hit the other guy.
Ok, find another clip of Floyd landing cleanly. This is getting ridiculous in here now. Like this is how the fight went. Neither guy was really landing that much.
