I'm watching the fights a bit delayed and I'm again shocked to see how biased Lampley, Manny and Merchant are against Floyd. It's really quite sad to hear them.

Lederman is the only one that has it right...

    Now watching the Castillo fight....

There is NO WAY that the Hatton in the Castillo fight has a chance to beat PBF. if he jumps in like that and wings his punches, PBF picks him apart easily.

The judges were trying their best to give De La hoya that fight lol. Scoring rounds for DLH when he only lands 8 punches total. Nice to see Floyd pick DLH apart rounds 8-11 though. Brilliant boxer.

Manny and Merchant can't stand Floyd. However, even Merchant is in awe of him at times. I created these gifs for another board as a precursor of what is going to happen tonight.

My MOM actually watched the PBF DLH fight with my step-dad LOL. I just found out when I went home for Thanksgiving.

I'm from GrandRapids and they still live there, so naturally they bought the fight out of curiosity.

When I first moved to GrandRapids in the early 80's as a young teen, I actually only lived about a mile from him. I lived right on the edge of the "hood" he lived in and know the neighborhood well. It's certainly a rough part of town, but not nearly as gangsta as he leads everyone to believe. Used to ride my back all around there as a youngster, and when older went to many parties and friends houses in that neighborhood, and noone ever felt in danger- plus the murder rate was rather low.

Anyway, while home, PBF was on the local news because his foundation was giving away tons of Turkey dinners for needy families in GrandRapids. My Mom started talking about how they got the fight and she thought it was terrible. "All he did was run away from that guy the whole time". LOL I told her that it was actually a good fight for boxing fans, and that I enjoyed it, but I understood how a complete non-fan would be unimpressed by the whole spectacle. Casual, and non-fans, like seeing KO's and brawls, and don't appreciate the actual skill behind it. I almost feel like Merchant, Lampley, and Manny are casual fans sometimes by the way they talk about PBF.
