For crying out loud will you just fight mosley already!!!!! If your so great like u say u r, then fight the man that owns the title of best welterweight at this point......dont get me wrong im a big mayweather fan, and i actually think he would squeek out a win against mosley, but im tired of him beating up on little guys and past their prime greats!!! I think its safe to say he's the p4p king (sorry pac fans) he's won all the titles, and has secured big pay days until he retires.....i think now that he has that in the bag he should move to cementing his legacy, fight the all time greats!!!! F*ck pacquiao, when you beat him their just gonna say the same stuff they are sayin when you beat marquez he was too little, you beat mosley and people cant bring up sh*t about his age because he beat margarito and gave cotto a run for his money and he is just as fast if not faster then pacquiao right now. You have all the belts and money u need, why not fight mosley? U beat him you can put all that u duckin margarito to rest.....just my opinion.

I'm pretty sure no one would look back on this fight and say Floyd beat another past his prime great if he beat a 38 year old Mosley.

Well, of course no matter who you fight haters are going to look back and diminish your accomplishments but at least Pac fights the most dangerous fights at the time according to public perception, Mayweather doesn't do that

Plus wrestling and then retiring, retiring for god sakes when he could have finally fought the best

he would still be beating an old mosely, thats just fact not opinion. he would, however, be beating the best available fighter and thats all he needs to do to be the truth in the welterweight division.

Isn't Mayweather vs. Pac the fight that everyone is asking for? Wouldn't Mayweather catch more flak by the general boxing public if he decided to forgoe the fight that most were asking for(against a fighter who also happens to be younger, possible faster, and ranked no.1 p4p) and decided to fight a 38 year old fighter instead?

Doesn't Hatton catch hell all the time for beating Tszyu? I hear a lot of people say Tszyu was past it. Tszyu was younger in that fight than Mosley is now. Tszyu was the undisputed 140 lb. champ and also ranked no. 3 p4p. Doesn't Mayweather catch flak for going up in weight and beating arguably the top fighter in that division who was 4 years younger than Mosley is now, and who arguably beat Mosley?

Don't worry, public demand be will be enough to force Mayweather in the ring with Mosely. Plenty of money to be made, and I think Floyd recognises the need for him to take this fight in order to finally cement his legacy.

No fighter has the exact same type of career lifecycle. Some are able to prolong there career and fight well in to their late 30's and even 40's (B-Hop). After the display against Margarito, there's no denying that Mosley is revitilised and still a force in the 147 division. By fighting and beating him, Mayweather will have picked up a valuable scalp. Any notion that Mayweather beat a past prime Mosley, will clearly be derived from hate.

Mayweather went up in weight and beat a De La Hoya who had just completely trashed Mayorga in his previous fight. An older, worse version of Mayorga was giving Mosley all he could handle a year ago before getting stopped with 2 seconds left. There must be a lot of hate because many people try to downplay Floyd's win over Hoya. I would love to see a Mayweather/Mosley fight. However, I don't see the point of him fighting Mosley before going after Pac(assuming he beats Cotto).

At this point Floyd has screwed himself. He has three potential mega fights at welter but they aren't what they were when he decided to retire. He had an undefeated Cotto coming off big wins against Zab and Mosley where most people felt it was a very close fight. Williams undefeated coming off a win over Marg. Hoya moving back down to welter for a rematch in his SD loss. Now both guys are undefeated(Cotto and Williams)and Pac took anything Oscar had left. Cotto is viewed by alot as worn after Marg, Williams has regained his spot but has been campaigning above welter.

My only point is people will discredit wins over Mosley saying he's old, Cotto saying he's past it, or Pac saying he's small. His only choice to not hear any **** is to move up and fight bigger threats or hear the wrath. I still think any of the top 5 welters give Floyd hell, but he left the sport and the landscape changed. He ruined what could have been the most meaningful fight of his career with an undefeated Cotto. When you sleep on **** and don't do what you need to the world passes you by.

It's not out of the ordinary for a fighter to have a bad fight, or a bad run in form. People were concerned about Pac after the JMM fight, yet he immediately races to the top of the world. Who would have thought Hopkins (coming off losses) would turn back the clock against Tarver and Pavlik. I still believe Mosley is got a lot left in him.

I agree with you that Mayweather should take the fight with Pac/Cotto first. Mosley had the chance to him twice in the past, the least he could do is wait (even if time is slightly against him).

It's not "Floyd hate". Ask yourself, is Mosley past it or not? I think yes.

Is it still a good fight for Floyd and not cherry picking? Yes.
