Mayweather dominates his opponents. Calslappy, Pacman and Cotto merely survive

    According to most Floyd is top 5 130-135lb fighter of all time. He was invisible at those divisions. He was a boxer puncher and in reality that is his real weight class not 14.

    Cotto's Welterweight record barely edges Floyds welter weight record. Yet Floyd has won far more impressively then Cotto has, which gives Floyd the nod. If Cotto can survive against MArgarito who hits much harder then Torres or Corley who rocked your boy, then he can make the claim for an indisputable better welter record.

    That's very true. Hopkins has forgotten more about boxing than
    Hatton could ever hope to learn. He was awesome in this fight,
    a real ring general but Joe's conditioning and speed got him the
    victory. Hatton just mindlessly charged the super boxer Floyd.
    How could he possibly lose to the short-armed, smaller, slower
    fighter. I like Ricky but he in no way compares skill-wise to Hopkins.

    Mosley landed the exact same amount of punches, and more power shots throughout the fight. He wasnt never in danger of being knocked out but when it went to the scorecards it could have gone either way. Thats never happened to Floyd in like 5 years.

    Hatton won the fight clearly. He had the early knocked down and until round 8 pretty much controlled the fight. It was Collazos late surge that left a poor taste in everyones mouth. He then went on to end Castillos career.

    The only top comp on Cotto's record is Mosley. who he survived against. Mayweather beat the best at 130-135. Corrales, Castillo, Hernandez. Then beat the best 140 lb fighter in the world. At 154, his 5th weight class, he beat DLH is convincing fashion. Cotto merely survived against Mosley, didnt land more punches, got hit with more powershots, in only his second weight class, and Cotto is the bigger fighter then Floyd,

    Not tell me dum dum, how is Cotto's career more impressive? He hasnt even beat a titlist at welter yet, all his belts were vacated.

    Unless this is an ATG thread stop giving floyd credit for what he did more than 5 years ago at 130-135!

    Floyd's resume since then does NOT scream ATG :deal

    And he wasn't invincible at 135 at all, although he was the best fighter there for a long time. And 140 is probably PBF's true weight-class now, so the fact he is a top-dog at 140 and beat DLH at 154 is superb.

    I've forgotten why I made this post.....

    Lol. How are you gonna ignore 3/4ths of a fighters career. :lol: :lol: :lol:

    And no, this is my thread, and some moron asked me how Floyds overall record was more impressive then Cotto's. Even from 140 on its virtually a wash comparing the 2. Matching up careers, its a Floyd Mayweather blow out.

    On careers, of course it is, no contest.

    But using Floyd's achievements at lower weights to gauge his ability at 147 is worthless when he's proved so little there. The fact that you use the Hatton win as a major win says it all really.

    By the way, Cotto's career resume are DEFINITELY under-rated. He's already beaten FOUR fighters who have gone on to win versions of a major belt. That's pretty phenomenal.

    Im not. I was challenged on who had the better overall by Gallito and responded. As I've already stated, DLH was far more impressive then Mosley. From there you only really have Quintana. That may give Cotto the edge. But Quintana wasnt a top p4p fighter was he?

    Who are these 4? The only fighter he beat thats been at all impressive recently is Quintana.
