I was at a fight party for that fight and you had people who said before the fight that Gatti was going to KO PBF, he's the Rocky of boxing. They booed him and talked about him during his entrance like he was a lamb being led to slaughter, little did they know the opposite was about to happen.:yep After about 4 rounds they were in awe with mouths wide open. Classic moment that night and one of the best fight parties I've ever been to.
Corrales was his best performance by far. He was in there with someone who was a threat, based on the power of Diego and Floyd took risks! He used his superior talent and skills to make a statement and win that fight. Not typical of Floyd now unless you want to count Shane. I'll give him credit for that since we know power is the last thing to go. Floyd could take more risks and still win....but Floyd doesn't like gambling inside the ring when it has to do with his record. He's a more risky gambler OUT of the ring...that's for sure.
I was a bit surprised by the one sidedness of this fight. I knew Mayweather would win big, but it got ridiculous in there. Mayweather landed just about every punch he threw and barely took any punches in return. After 6 rounds, Gatti simply didn't want to fight anymore.
