Why did PBF spar him to begin with? THE IBF BELT thats why!! They figured it an easy ticket to 135 since Floyd complained about making 130. Floyd got whupped and went back to 130 for almost two years.

That says it all. Given the circumstances? Floyd could have unified 135 but chose not too. It wasnt like he had any bigger fights other than JLC.

As for the Dorin fight? Spats troubles were already upon him and came through in that fight. Thats his fault but PBF ducking him for 2 years prior to that point wasnt.

 

Why? Simple...he was at a gym where Paul was. Paul was training and called him out....Floyd accepted. No mystery there. I saw the session and I didn't see floyd get whooped...he gave as good as he got and given Floyds inactivitiy at the time...it really didn't look good on Paul who was peaking in preparation for a fight that he had coming up.

The offer while spaddy was in rehad was just an offer out of many that were sent out to 135 candidates. Paul just so happened to be getting himself together during the time when offers were being sent out. Floyd didn't unify in any division he went to.

He just beat one or two champions and moved on, staying undefeated and showing why he is considered P4P #1 or why he deserved to be on the list. Floyd always had opponents, spaddy wasn't a worthy opponent.....

Not bc he sucks, but b/c he has no drawing power and at the time Floyd didn't have much of a fan base either so he had to make SMART fights...one that would give him the opportunity to shine and build his popularity....a spaddy fight would have bore everyone to death in a easy win. Floyd had no reason to duck a guy like Spaddy who isn't on his level.

 

I posted the session. Spadafora ran threw a couple fighters that were around Floyd in the gym and THEY started talking ****. Then it was decided to bring in PBF to punk "the whiteboy". That didnt work out so well though. Floyd was brought in, he wasnt just in the gym working out:nono

If it was EASY, Floyd would have made the fight:yep It isnt as easy as it seems and 3 and a half years later? Welcome to rehab, here's you're offer.

There is no explaining away the facts:nono ATG's unify and beat the best challengers out there. Whatever you're opinion on Spadafora? He was among the top 3 challengers at LW.
