Hopkins is going to expose Calzaghe just like Lacy was going to...

Actually, a more accurate statement would read:

Hopkins is going to expose Calzaghe much in the same way Calzaghe exposed Lacy.

Marquez is better than PacMan, and will prove it, and although Hopkins ring savvy will make it a competitive fight, Calzaghes edge in speed and workrate is too much for B-Hop, and Im a Hopkins fan.

Well, if JMM does indeed beat Pac, I would reconsider that, but to date, Pac holds two wins over MAB, won the rubber match against Morales, and as far as I am concerned, was jobbed out of a rightful win the first time around with JMM.

I will not be the least bit surprised if JMM beats Pac, but I will be surprised if Calzaghe beats Hopkins.

Calzaghe is often out of position and off-balance, and he will pay whenever this happens against someone like Hopkins.

Hopkins will make Joe fight HIS fight. For evidence, look for a vastly reduced punch output from Calzaghe.

Rumsy, Rumsy, Rumsy, there was a job done in the Marquez v Pac 1 fight, well 2 actually, Marquez did a number on Pac for 10 rounds, then go jobbed on the scorecards.

I do agree that Hopkins will make himself very hard to hit clean, and will punish Calzaghe mistakes, but will just get outworked IMO.

Im more confident Marquez beats Pac, as Id NEVER rule out Hopkins turning the tide.

    Mayweather is 100% p4p number 1.

    A few thoughts....

    1. I don't recall my exact scorecard in JMM-Pac, but I know that Pacquiao, although essentially dominated after the first round, did win more than 2 rounds on my card. I believe I had him up by the slimmest of margins, and had the one judge scored the bout 10-6 (as I believe he should have), Pacquiao would have been awarded the victory. Also, JMM blew it by turning down the rematch at that time, but either way, I'm happy we'll be seeing these two do battle again.

    2. Floyd is clearly #1 P4P now, although, I sincerely hope he squares off against one of the premiere welterweights sometime next year, be it Cotto, Williams, Shane, etc.

    3. I sincerely believe Calzaghe and his fans are in for a huge surprise. I maintain the belief that Hopkins is a cut above Calzaghe and I believe it will show. I do not believe that Calzaghe is simply going to "outwork" Hopkins as so many seem to believe. Calzaghe has never faced an elite fighter, and even at age 43, Hopkins still fits the bill. I cannot wait for this bout to become a reality.

    4. Good seeing you! Haven't seen you posting as much these days!

    :cheers

I think some people dont realise that Calzaghe has amazing boxing skills that match anyone in the world and even if you do match his skills. you will not be able to keep up with his workrate!

Hopkins fought Winky much like he fought Keith Holmes several years back. He knows how to neutralize southpaws, and has proven an ability to do so against various styles imposed by them. When it's open, he'll shoot lead rights down the pipe as he did time and time against Tarver. If need be, he turns it into a rough house affair and is an absolute master when it comes to bending the rules in his favor.

At the end of the bout, Winky looked as if he had been raped and battered. Why? Because Hopkins made Winky fight his fight.

Don't be surprised when he does the same thing to Joe. Hopkins is NOT going to allow Calzaghe to dictate the terms of the fight, and once Joe gets suckered into fighting Hopkins's fight, much in the way Winky did, he'll be turned into mincemeat.

For the record, I think Calzaghe is outstanding, but not elite on the level of Hopkins.

I do hope the odds-makers make Calzaghe a big favorite, though!

Calzaghe pisses all over Hopkins, then does the same to Palvick.
