What's really pissing me off about the threads concerning this fight, is how many people bring up the Arturo Gatti/Mayweather fight, and say it was the prototype for what this fight will be. It's an absolutely insane, without a doubt. Any boxing fan knows it's nonsense and that Hatton is leagues above what a shot Gatti was. However, I'm happy with people thinking that, but I know what will happen after the fight. If Mayweather wins, the fans who say he was no more of a threat than Gatti, will talk about him beating a good version of Tszyu, a slightly past his prime Castillo and other positive comments. Not totally accurate, but it makes it look like Mayweather beat a legitimately brilliant fighter. If Hatton wins he will be the best pressure fighter at 147lbs since Henry Armstrong. It's nonsense of course, but it makes it seem like Hatton was virtually unstoppable. I don't mind anyone comparing Hatton to Gatti, but 0.0000000000001% of Mayweather fans who do will retract it after the fight. Hatton will be an ATG in their eyes. Realistically, both men are great fighters. All this nonsense about comparing Hatton to an old Gatti needs to stop. The only thing it really does it make Mayweather look worse, regardless of if he wins or loses.
man your a good poster but this drum has been beaten to death there are only a handfull of Floyd i guess fans who really think this will be like Gatti. There are a number of both fans who have ******ed outcomes of this fight i mean some one said Hatton will run through mayweather, KO mayweather in 9, out point for a wide UD, all kinds of stuff and the same for PBF fans and it wont stop you could have used this thread for something better.
It would be impressive if Mayweather could stop Hatton. Most likely result is a UD for Mayweather. Let's get real, this is a good matchup and people saying that Floyd was ducking this person and that person. Hatton is not a paper champion or any of that nonsense, he is a legitimate champion.
Mayweather is the rightful favourite but anyone with a shred of boxing knowledge acknowledges that Hatton is a live underdog and of all potential stylistic matchups his is the one that will give Floyd a real fight win or lose. Any floyd fan that makes a comparison with Gatti is holding up a card and stating that they know nothing about boxing and can from that point be ignored in their 'predictions'
would be interested to know how and possibly where you think hatton will take those rounds off floyd.
