Forget the bollocks about his facebook, but lets say he is to fight Pac in November.

Do you think he can go into the single biggest fight of his career, his defining fight without a tune up?

Surely he needs to fight a tune up fight, he cant possible face a southpaw with no ring experience in 18 months, it makes no sense at all.

Therefore he needs a return fight which even if announced tomorrow would still be 2 months away at the earliest July/August.

I can not see this happening. I think we will wait until the resolution of his legal issues then a tune up fight and we are looking May 2012 for a Pac fight.

I thought he was the smartest fighter around? He needed a tune up in Mitchell to face Judah. Does he just FORGET how to face Southpaws? Is that the need for a tune up?

How come Baldomir didn't need a tune up to beat Judah? Nor did Morales need a tune up to face Pac and beat him.

I think the plan was tune up in July for Mandela's birthday and Pac fight in November

Crazier things have been done. Sugar Leonard going str8 to Hagler after a 3 year retirement without a tuneup.

It had been less than 12 months by the time they entered those fights. Floyd would have been out for 18 months if he fought in NOV. Ring rust.

    But you already know that...

Why didn't Mosley take a tune up when he was out of the ring 16 months before fighting Floyd ???

Because they also call Shane, Sugar, so he thought he could be as dope as Sugar Leonard and come off from inactivity without a tuneup.

there wasn't enough time for that and he got an extra long training camp. The real question is why didn't Shane get removed from the p4p list because of inactivity :hey

Shane has one of the worst records when off long layoffs.

Floyd seems in shape and if hes sparring from time to time, i dont think he will need a tuneup. Hes talanted and can adapt well.

according to lil floyd, uncle roger, and floyd joy, and all their dickriders, he doesn't need one and can beat manny with or without whatever he's on

i'd like to c them back up their words, which they won't/can't

Inactivity hasn't done any bad things for Floyds ability.

I mean c'mon, theres probably not one fighter at welterweight whom he would be an underdog against WITHOUT a tuneup.

Floyd is probably going to fight Manny Pacquiao, there are no other options out there.
