Because Shane is not as smart as Floyd and Floyd will take the smartest route to get the best results which will probably be to take atune up first.

But if he doesnt and goes straight in i will rate him big time!

Either way i see a Floyd win, similar to the De la hoya fight where he just comes through as the victor.

So? And what, he forgot how to fight a SP? :patsch

When you CHOOSE not to fight for over a year, then you forgoe easy return bouts. You Floyd fans just don't seem to get that.

But if Floyd MUST have a tune up, I'm sure he'll take on a decent challenge.

He had no choice in the matter. Fight Floyd when he could, or not at all.

He was to fight Berto in Januari 2010, but the Haiti incident flushed the fight down, then Mosley recieved a shot at Money in May 2010... IMO 4 months is too short to include a tune up before fighting the likes of Mayweather :think

Floyd is going to be RJJ part 2 in a different fashion.
Fighting not because he loves to fight anymore but for the need for $.
With the speed diminishing even by a step or two combined with his penchant for throwing very few punches, younger fighters will knock him out. You are not getting the same Mayweather once the overall speed is even fractions lower than a few years ago.

because Shane had a fight signed and ready to fight Berto and then almost the second that Berto "dropped out" he was negotiating to fight Floyd. Where as Floyd has been inactive and has no fight ready for the foreseeable future. Different circumstances.
