He is more credible than Mosley at the time Pac fought him definitely. I will disagree about Marg though. He was with a great new trainer, had a great team to train with.

I'll even admit that at welterweight Ortiz looks like a better opponent than JMM is right now. i like both these fights, they are both just good fights for the best two fighters in the world. Unless they fight each other or Martinez you're really just reaching to say one fight is much better than the other..

You can't ever compare Pac and Marg to Berto... Which is what you're doing..

You dont think it was beaten out of Ortiz? stop with the bull**** you call one guy a quitter to suit your arguement then avoid when I bring up the real.
Again Manny fought a quitter in Cotto, if you want to argue it was beaten out of him fine, there is truth to that.
Ortiz vs Maidana was an equally violent fight, with how many knock downs? and your going to say it could not have possibly been beaten out of him....?
Mutha ****in lance you have been acting all hard since that Tougher in Alaska series started to air...:verysad

I don't believe so. It's been almost 4 years since Pac and Marquez fought eachother. Pac won that fight and now this fight is happening 3 divisions higher. It's a division that Pac has proved that he can perform at an elite level. JMM has not. JMM is also clearly on the decline since that last fight while Pac seems to have gotten better and is still in his prime.

Marquez's style is supposed to be what makes this competitive according to some. Now what gave Pac problems was Marquez's counterpunching and that straight right hand. If he was problems with that against a slow, aging, LW, I shutter to think what would happen if Pac ever fought Mayweather.

There is no answer to this. In one scenario, you have an actual conclucion. In the other, it's "Maybe". We can guess on whos a bigger threat. But don't act like it's a fact.

If your serious, sholdn't you talk about the styles involved? Or the other guy, in this case Floyd?

I don't see Ortiz as a threat to Floyd. That's your answer. Ortiz is a work in prigreess. MAYBE he'll show up fight night and prove me and others wrong. The Berto win was a good start. But that's all it is, a start.

Ortiz will get whitewashed. He's not a smart fighter fighting one the smartest to lace em up. And if Lamant Peterson, outweighed by whatm 15, can back Ortiz up, then what do you think Floyd will be able to do.

And how do you think Ortiz will react to that? He doesn't have experience on his side either. The cards are stacked again Ortiz.

MOre importantly, we know this is a tune up. Think Floyd would take a top guy after 16 months. You can call Ortiz a young lion all day, say how hungry he is. But those are just buzz words. Used to sell a fight.

    My 2 cents. :D

I like this fight especially as Mayweather has been off for so long but I expect him to come back with a vengance and not to show any signs of ring rust!

I think he will beat Victor and I think its a good fight who else at WW (which you *******s are ALWAY complaining his resume is so weak) is he going to fight?

You must have forgot Arum was sorting out the Marquez fight BEFORE Manny fought Shane who (if you want to talk about records) came off an ass whopping by Floyd (ok he gets a pass cos its Floyd) and then a uninspiring draw with Mora and Im not talking the Mora who beat Vernon the Mora than is 10 levels below that!

Margo got his ass handed to him by Shane and then barely beat some unknown journey man......not to mention dude blocks shots with his face and SLOW as hell!

What about Clottey coming off a loss to Cotto?.....where is his career defining win that even made him worthy of getting in the ring with Pac? Oh he gave Margo run for his money....for a few rounds? LOL

So you got no right to even attempt to throw stones at this fight!

come on now *******s be serious for one second! This isnt the fight of the century but its decent and better than what Pacquiao has been offering us!

Please don't try and act as if both beating were anything close. Cotto got beat to ****. Twice. Ortiz QUIT before that could happen. Two hugely different scenarios.

Most look like **** vs. Mayorga, win or lose. It's his style that gets guys off their rythm. Only Tito and DLH didn't look bad.
