Mayweather fights are so dull I doubt they will make money on future PPV

Geesh go watch MMA then. It was like watching an artist paint a masterpiece. Canelo was trying to get inside and Mayweather was standing toe to toe with the bigger, stronger man. It was an awesome fight.

 

He is no KO artist to be sure,but man,can he box.

 

i think mayweather fights are great to watch and in the boxing community its the talk of the town. in the african american community its even bigger. from clubs, movie theaters, bars, buffalo wild wings (bw3's) etc. etc. its all everyone is talking about. barbershops, hair & nail salons are all talking about it. i can only speak for me and people like me but when ever there is a mayweather fight it goes down.

as far as who is left, personally i like to see him fight bradley, pacquaio and challenge for the undisputed mw championship of the world. after that its time to call it career i think. dont worry guys you only have about another 2 yrs if that of him left then he will be retired.

 

Mayweather will be appreciated alot more post career...

Mayweather is like watching a chess match or a skilled fencing duel.
(Nobody will die, But you can appreciate the thought process)

 

Showtime now has a serious problem on their hand,in terms of future profitability with Mayweather events.Golden Boy will have to put on their best promoters hat and attempt to bamboozle the public to sell his next fight..but like the saying goes-"a sucker is born every minute" when it comes to fleecing the publics pocket book.:-(

 

Since when was Canelo trying to get inside? Learn boxing man. They both boxed each other. It ebbed and it flowed here and there., but it always returned to a boxing match, at mid-range. Nobody tried to be inside, nobody really tried to be outside.

 

Floyd isn't going to fight overseas his deal with Showtime is also with the MGM all the fights will be there.

 

Let me guess you were one of the people on here saying Rigo's fight with Donaire was not boring :roflatsch

people will always pay since they want to see money lose....a punch can change a fight and they are just waiting for it.

I have been watching boxing, judging bouts and training boxers for over 50 years. Canelo's plan, weak as it was, was to get inside and rough Floyd up. Floyd instead kept Canelo at arms length with a stiff jab, an on target straight right hand and excellent leg movement.

 

PPV events are paid for by the PROMOTER (LOOK IT UP).
sHOWTIME MAKES A CONTRACT WITH fLOYD FOR x amount of money then the promoter has to find a fight within that range that they can make their m,oney back.'
Showtime is not in the PPV business anymore than HBO is,they are at war for subscribers.
Showtime is 18$ a month that is 216$ a year,that is what they want,subscribers.

 

You just cant fight anybody and expect big PPV numbers. It does'nt work that way, both Mayweather against Guerrero and Pacquiao vs Bradley found that out.
