Pacquiao's fears have long been known! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCa1-X7ey5Y[/ame] Hllleeeaaavvvyyy training!!!
why would floyd want to eat up 1k punches in 30 minutes damn right he should be afraid, nothing to be ashame of this
*****s don't accept that what Mayweather said, showed that fans are right about him. Floyd scared of big challenges.
as pointless as this floyd interview? what can you say about this? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2MsxXteivM[/ame]
*******s are idiots. Manny couldn't hurt Joshua Clottey, he couldn't hurt an old Marquez, but yet they think Floyd is way more skilled then both of them, is afraid he's gonna hurt. Their stupidity is amazing.
You shameless ****, they are talking about Pac in this instance. Floyd talks about being worried for this health when PAC is brought up. So your reply is to bring up **** that's NOT even a part of the discussion? atsch
Before I get going I thought I'd just note that the idiocy portrayed by supporters of both fighters in this thread is mind numbing at best and shameful at the least. If you can't have a dignified conversation you don't need to be in the conversation. Furthermore if you can't back up your statements, don't resort to name calling and **** talking, go do some research and come back when you've learned something. While displaying your gross bias you do make one point, that being the 3 fights with Juan Manuel Marquez. Sure, Pacquiao has never looked like a world beater against this particular opponent, and all three fights could arguably went either way. Fact is though 2 of 3 went his way and that's what the history books will always say. I never heard anyone try to use the fights between Arturo Gatti and Mickey Ward, Marco Antonio Barrero and Erik Morales, or Israel Vasquez and Rafael Marquez's against them in the way this person is trying to use JJM-Pac against Pacquiao, and it's pretty lame and short sighted. Even suggesting that Pacquiao is not talented at this point is a dead end statement as is the argument of him being so overrated. I don't think it's really accurate to call him spoon fed either, he's taken on whoever has come to call, he can't help it if he is better than his competition and the same goes for Floyd. I think this is one of the most truthful and accurate statements I have read here. Floyd has seen the potential for harm with this particular opponent (pacquiao) and he's scared to death of eating a shot like the ones Hatton did. He also knows what it took for him to beat Hatton in comparison to the way Pacquiao handled him. I think Hatton is a better measuring stick than Marquez for a number of reasons, but mostly because of the fact that he fought largely the same way against both fighters and was in about the same condition for both fights since they weren't so drastically spaced out the way Pac-JMM has been. The difference is that Floyd had a size and weight advantage, whereas Pacquiao was easily the smaller man against Hatton, but still disposed of him quicker and in much more devastating fashion than Mayweather was able to do. I think those things creep in Mayweathers' mind and put that fear into him. He's watched Pacquiao make quick career-ending work of a guy that took him down the road for 10 rounds even though he was much smaller. He's also witnessed the destruction Pacquiao has laid on the faces of other opponents, that has to raise alarm as well. Floyd's never put that kind of punishment on anyone, and I think he is probably nervous about trying to deal with the volume punching Pacquiao will inevitably bring to the ring against him. Bottom line there are a lot of questions in mind that Mayweather is happier not knowing the true answers to. It's easier to imagine that you could win than to have to take the risk of losing. Beautifully put, my sentiments exactly. Anyone confusing the fear of losing with the fear of Pacquiao himself is stirring up a melodramatic storyline in their heads to surround the fight with. I don't think Floyd is afraid of Manny Pacquiao directly, he's of afraid of what he represents, and that's a strong possibility of losing. I said it before and I'll say it again, I've never seen anyone so scared of the number "1" in my life like Mayweather. I also feel that it's not the fact that Floyd is so scared of losing that makes him a coward, it's the fact that he's not even willing to face the fear win or lose. That's the mark of a coward, someone who is so scared they would rather turn away from the odds than face them. Everyone knows that Mayweather doesn't like to fight anyone unless he's fairly certain he will win, this is just more of the same from a guy who has been very careful about who and more importantly when he fights his selected opponents. I hate it when people do that "End of Discussion" thing. Clearly that wasn't the end of the discussion nor was it ever going to be, especially considering the present lack of case to support claims. No one knows for sure who would win and that's part of the reason this is such a must see, must happen fight. These two are tailor made for each other in the same way Duran and Leonard were tailor made for each other. This is a great fight not just due to the accolades of each fighter, but the clash of styles this match represents. I think with the right game plan and the right execution there is no fairer conclusion than that either man could win on the right night. We just need to get to one of them to find out.
Hatton is a swarmer, Pacquiao is a puncher, Mayweather is a boxer It's one of the most simple premises of boxing I don't like to try to deride fighters wins (and I'm not) but Hattons face-forward style was always going to be a distaster against someone with the punching power and speed of Pacquiao
