How come Mayweather did not need a tune up fight why didn't ward just fight Golovkin why did he say from his own mouth he wanted tune ups before a big fight at this coming out meeting?
It's been a bad couple years for boxing master. First Pac gets utterly humiliated and outboxed by Mayweather. Now GGG finally steps up to his first opponent that's not c level or a ww and he gets controversial decision.
In fairness floyd fought JMM at 147 and originally it being scheduled for something like 144 and then didn't weigh in again so had a massive advantage in weight. It should have been a good fight but was rather spoilt by bending the rules and it's hard to give Floyd much credit when the deck is stacked so much in his favor. Ward had been off for awhile - perfectly acceptable to fight a couple of gimmes to get back up to speed and then he did fine v Kovalev Floyd took a tuff fight on but it made sure of the outcome really. People are being a bit harsh on GGG someone who moves and boxes and comes in huge on the night is going to give anyone trouble. Lets see how he does against another opponent. it wont be the first time a pressure fighter is troubled offset by someone who can move a little and handle is power. I actually think BJS could give him some trouble with his movement and slickness but i don't think he will be able to put a dent in GGG.
What's with the Mayweather/Ward comparisons? You think because someone is a fan of Floyd they're a fan of Ward?
