This is why Golden Boy doesnt need HBO right now. I believe that one or more of the 6 fights that Mayweather has with Showtime/CBS will actually air on LIVE Network TV. Just last year Schaefer claimed that he was going to put the Canelo-Lopez fight on CBS. CBS is the second largest broadcaster in the world behind the BBC.. So in America CBS would be #1, perfect for broadcasting network TV boxing again. Mayweather is just going to be the face & name that re-introduces the american public back to Network TV Boxing.

Mayweather is close to breaking EVERY single PPV record, so once he does that he will take his show to NETWORK TV.

Mayweathers next 3 fights will do clearly over a million each & he will break the PPV record for the most buys ever. His next fight will BREAK the Revenue record. In only 9 fights on PPV he has already tied & equalled the biggest HW draws in the history of the sport. Once he breaks the ALL TIME PPV RECORD and he has generated almost a Billion Dollars in revenue then NETWORK TV & corporate sponsors will be throwing loads of money at him to fight on NETWORK TV. He's a money machine & once you have a resume that reads :"BROKE ALL PPV RECORDS & GENERATED A BILLION DOLLARS", Corps would crawl on their hands and knees to be apart of your NAME & BRAND:deal

The question I have is, will CBS/Showtime have the money to put on (a lot) more cards to make up for all the HBO dates that once belonged to GBP?

Golden Boy Promotions picked Leo Santa Cruz to headline the CBS network’s first live boxing show since 1997 just 4 months ago.:deal

This is what GB haters don't get HBO only had 3 Golden Boy Shows planned for this year two had already happened, two involved Broner, who showtime will want. Now look Fox gave UFC 7 years 90 million a year and those shows get five million viewers, Cunningham-Adamek got 3 million, I don't know about Floyd but a Canelo or Broner fight could make money on CBS, they could pay 5 million for fights 3 times a year and sale Coronas, trucks, tools and Home Depo products.

its the Largest TV company in the US...

HBO's Boxing budget was just 35 million in 2011. CBS is a BILLION dollar company. SHO/CBS can surely afford more than a 35 million dollar boxing budget.:blood

Yes but im sure that number would have been a lot higher had the relationship not gone sour late last year.

I think once he breaks the PPV record and generates a BILLY the only place to go is Network TV.

The revenue record is one thing, but you're dealing with inflation comparing those numbers. His true drawing power is in the number of buys, and the per fight average. He's averaged over a mil and is directly on par with Tyson, even though Mike has like four of the top five individual PPV events. Pretty insane what Floyd has done, really.

I guess the better question is will they want to spend the money. So far they have not commited to boxing on network tv and thats a key component in all of this if GBP is to succeed.
