    Yes inflation does matter but I think my argument about the inflation point is that lets compare Mayweather being a smaller fighter who isnt known for KO'ing guys and still getting viewers who know they might get a 12 round UD and not a first round KO :deal

    Good point. I think with Mayweathers name as well as canelos attached to matches they would surely spend the money.

    Imagine Canelo-Mayweather on network TV:yikes:scaredas::dead

    His longevity and consistency to draw is second to none. His stock is still as high as it's ever been. His last fight was his second biggest in terms of buys, and best since the DLH fight, a full five years afterwards. He knows what the **** he's doing. :deal

    It costs 60 million a year on average to make those dramas you see on CBS and they charge 140,000 for a commercial during those shows, it's more about if CBS has the will to do it than the resources, if they do we could get something special

    I hope Boxing becomes mainstream again. Will put more pressure to stars to fight each other.

    strikeforce didn't do well on network tv. this is because of ad revenue and also network tv's pickiness.

    Strikeforce was just a bad company with a shallow stable

    Depends on who is on free network tv. If its b and c class level fighters, it will fail in the ratings. If its Mayweather or Canelo then I can see it as a success. It really depends on the matchmaking.

    Mayweathers ego will not allow him to fight on free tv

    No company is going to care to put ads on an mma match involving a former street fighter and a frozen yogurt salesman.:rofl
