IF any part of this is true what a slap in the face to all the MMA guys who hae toiled for meager pay in that org..... While a mega millionaire boxer who has not paid ANY dues in this sport waltzes right in and makes more than the rest of the roster combined?!?!?!? This has to be bull****... If not I smell mutiny.:fire :fire

Dana White pays some of his fighters 3,000. I can't see him ponying up 200M (absurd) for a Mayweather contract. What happens after Mayweather gets taken down and smashed in his first fight? All of a sudden, you're out a ridiculous amount of money.

Mayweather would have to headline 10 PPV cards that get very nice buy rates to make that even financially feasible. And I don't see Dana going the Kimbo Slice route and handing Mayweather freebies, while pushing him as a main eventer.

I could see Mayweather testing his hand at MMA for shits and giggles, but there's no possible way he'd be making more money than in boxing.

If Mayweather wants to test skill in the Octagon, he's going to need to take a big ass paycut.

I really hope he doesn't do this and it's just a rumor. His talent is in boxing. Cotto would be a walk in the park compared to BJ Penn:-(

Dumb rumours circulate all the time. Have you noticed how many rumours about Lennox Lewis' coming out of retirement have circulated in the last few years. Notice how many have actually come true?
And at least that rumour is remotely believeable.

Obviously this is all argument for its own sake since it isn't happening, but:

The money wouldn't be lost at all, the whole point from the UFC's point of view would be to throughly embarass Mayweather, which make no mistake he would be terribly embarassed.

Dana White would rather stick his dick in the oven than pay anyone more than 2 Mill, let alone 200 mil.

200M is a huge percentage of what that company is worth, so I doubt they'd spend that much to embarrass Mayweather. Two million to embarrass him and send a message? Sure. Twenty million to sign him to a multi-year contract? Maybe. But to pay him three times what Pride cost for one spectacular boxing legend destruction...no.

200 million to embarass an individual ? i don't think so. once again demonstrating the intellectual though process of your average mma fan.

Hey, Beebs know his stuff. I may disagree with him on this matter, but the guy's a good fan and writes thoughtful posts. So don't come in here and trash people and generalize. In other words, get the **** out.

Dana White made a 3 hour television show on national television to embarass Tito.

Obviously if he would sign Floyd, it would never be for $200million, thats about 10 times to high for even the highest possible number in a hypothetical discussion, and about 100 times too high for reality.

No he wouldn't pay 200m, but he would also never, ever do anything with Floyd other than embarass him.
