    To clear something up:

Floyd is going to pay a tax rate of 39.6% on that.
Let's just say he makes $45M all in as an example after PPV revenue share. Taxed at 39.6%, his after tax take is $27M.

Manny is fighting in Macau with 12% tax rate and expected to earn $22M + PPV upside. Assuming similar PPV upside, his after tax of $26M is $23M.

$27M earned by mayweather vs $23M earned by Pacquiao. Of course there's some payouts involved to Top Rank and Golden Boy (even with Mayweather's fake promotional company, he still has to pay a flat fee to GBP) but the difference is not that big as the *****s CONSTANTLY like to point out. :patsch

I would fight Godzilla or King Kong for 12.5, much less 41.5!

Hell of a paycheck for Floyd.

Alvarez may be the highest paid young fighter since Tyson (whose purse was reportedly about $21 million against Spinks right before he turned 22). This payday is a notch above what Oscar was making at 23- he pulled in just under $9 million for facing Chavez, although with inflation it's probably not that wide of a difference.

12 mill is a huge payday.

Theres maybe 15 fighters in all of boxing that have gotten payed that much in a single fight in the last decade. Let alone being in your early 20's.

People are going to get hung up on what Floyd is making, but the truth is Canelo is making great money.

Whether its fair or unfair (seeing as hes hugely responsible for why this fight will sell) is another matter.

They pay is more than fair to Canelo. Before this bout casual fans hadn't even heard his name outside of Mexico.

Mayweather's name sells with almost any opponent. Should Canelo win he will be making them big bucks in a hurry.

don't count on it. unless theres a rematch or two there isn't a whole lot of marketable fighters from 154 upwards

the marketing team have a heck of a job in building this as some sort of 50/50 when reality its 80/20 in favour of mayweather and the pay check amounts pretty much reflect close to that
