The difference is Manny only had one fight at LWW and one at WW before he took on the best in that division. He's fought Cotto and Clottey in a row.

So, what we have is one guy who faces the best in his division, and one that fights lightweights two division too high and light welters a division they've already proven shaky at.

Manny fought Hatton and JMM at their best weights.

This thread is called the player hater's ball: Hate-Hate-Hate-Hate-Hate!

I hate how people trash any fighter who's balls they are not fused to regardless of what his performance is but can't take when someone does the same to their darling fighter. Little girls do this **** with the popular girl in school because none of them can admit she is well liked.

As a Pac fan I can be very fairly objective about Manny AND Floyd's recent wins that were impressive no contest decision wins. Floyd dominated Marquez in textbook fashion in a impressive display of counterpunching and worldclass potshotting(not using that in a negative way....if it works it works and Floyd does it essentially to perfection) and feinting to get the openings for those shots. However he did so against a fighter who not so much was too small to threaten him but who did not have the time to at least see if he could translate his ability so far up in weight against a fighter of Floyd's caliber(much less any other top 20 welterweight)

Manny dominated Clottey with a crackhead workrate and his own form of potshotting through Clottey's guard in the form of combinations. He gave Clottey little incentive to come too much out of his shell and his body attack slowed him too. However, Clottey's style never fully utilizes his physicality nor does his mentality as a fighter lend itself to upping his workrate to stop from being overwhelmed like he was. He has proved in the past that he fails to step on the gas enough to at least try and seize momentum and is content to coast to the end.

What this all means? Once all you superfans(*******s and Floydettes) step enough around your favorite fighter's sacks to get enough light, you will see the truth. They both fought fighters who were not great fighters(in the case of Marquez he would not be considered great as a welterweight) like themselves and as a result dominated. When these two meet in the ring their styles will bring out the best in each other and we'll have a blockbuster dynamic fight where no one will truly dominate in the ring and barring a draw there will be no true loser. The fans will be the biggest winners when that day comes.

I guess catfish is a racially derogatory term for a Filipino? If so then it's funny how it's all the sudden ok to be racist as long as it's not your favorite fighter.

i never knew that. i thought it would be a term for us since supposedly we cant get enough of the damn thing.

with all the debating going on over these two i dont think any fight could live up to the amount of hype it gets on here. the ESB forums have been going at this since manny fought ODLH and it has not taken a day off. i dont think 36 minutes will be enough.

Lol  You're like a child that found out Santa Claus isn't real. You just can't accept that your boy isn't in the limelight anymore.

I could give a **** about who is in the limelight.

Pacquiao did a ***** move and is ducking Mayweather. Spin it however you want. Pacquiao should have been fighting Mayweather last night, not a ****ing punching bag\tomato can.

The guy ducked Mayweather to fight this ****ing ass-hat last night? ****ing idiots and big time Pacquiao dick riders all of you.

To be honest Floy is a great elusive defensive fighter. But he has had easier fights he makes it look easy I suppose. The catfish has had brutal wars.I guess it's better to defensive than to slug but would BOXING be boring if everyone just hit and ran, ducked, shoulder scroll and pot shot? I think so.I agree FLOY is smart fighter coz he doesn't get hit, good on him.
