And Manny 'The Cherry Picker' Pacquiao was given fighter of the decade?

The proof is in the pudding.

Mayweather has been consistently performing better than Pacquiao throughout the duration of both of their careers.

Their next fights' further clarifies this.

If you dont understand and accept this you are not just a ******* but a plain ****** :D

December 4, 1998, he fought the lineal flyweight chatchai sasakul in his absolute prime and at his home country of thailand where decisions for hometown fighters are rampant. some say mark johnson was the best but sasakul also had beaten the undefeated and lineal arbachakov who is also one of the best flyweight at the time.

You might be right but Pac's fights are more entertaining and he fights not just pot-shot like a wuss. Also Mayweather will be in jail and bankrupt by the time he turns 40. When Pac turns 40 he might be the leader of Philipeans, and rich as hell. Mayweather lost the first Castillo fight, and he squeaked past de la Hoya( I had that a draw) Pac just schools guys and doesn't talk all thuggish and stupid like Floyd.

 YOu still on this ****?:rofl Floyd upset too..... :-( Change the page homie.....PAC is P4P King and Fighter of the decade. Ain't nothing you or Floyd's crying is gonna do to change what's already written in stone. Just move on and try to cope. You can't compare resumes if you want to give Floyd any chance in being competitive for this title kid.....PAC has had a shorter career yet has more fights and has by far more credibility with the opposition he's fought and beaten. Floyd only has being undefeated to base his argument but there are a LOT of undefeated fighters out there who don't have the depth to solidify their rank. PAC is where he's at based on what he's done, who he's beaten and how dominant he's been.

That being said....Floyd SHOULD be working with a better legacy and resume than PAC based on his incredible skill set. What Floyd lacks is internal. He doesn't care about his legacy enough to take the kinds of chances and risks that PAC threw himself into. And because of that a less TECHNICAL and polished fighter has taken a spot he should hold. Floyd has no one to blame but himself.

#1 - You evidently don't understand that Pacquiao won the WBC flyweight title by beating one of the best flyweights of the 1990s, and he done so in 1998, same year as the older Mayweather won his first world title

#2 - You evidently don't know that Pacquiao won the IBF superbantamweight title from a very good fighter Ledwaba in 2001

#3 - You evidently don't understand that when Floyd was fighting a succession of utter **** from 2003 to 2007, Pacquiao was busy destroying ATGs Barrera and Morales.

Pathetic thread dismissed in brutal fashion. :smoke

For somebody who speaks in facts, you sure do not know what you speak of. Sasakul was NOT the lineal flyweight champion therefore Pac didn't win it from him. So that's bull****. He won the WBC belt 19 months before losing it to Pacquiao and was so in his "absolute prime" like you say that he didn't fight for another world title after losing it in 1998 until ten years later in 2008.

Great win? Yes. But the Sasakul W has, over time, become one of Pacquiao's more overrated wins because people dig for a big fight early in his career.

So yeah, try harder with this one...

What hurts Mayweather in this argument is the years of the 00-09 decade:

1- His 1998 year where he won Fighter of the Year with wins over Genaro and Manfredy is not in the decade. Additional wins over Gerena and Juuko also not included.

2- Pacquiao's unspectacular beginning to his career is not in the decade. His two early KO defeats are not included.

3- Mayweather sitting out all of 08 and only one fight in 09 hurts his decade totals.

4- Mayweather's win over #3 P4P Mosley came in 2010, a year after "the decade" ended.

5- Pacquiao ended the decade with a string of wins over highly popular fighters, giving great exposure and popularity to him in the 21 months immediately before the voting occurred.

    Cool story.

Both fighters are all-time greats. Both fighters have an amazing list of accomplishments in the sport. And both fighters have been guilty of cherry-picking.
