Why not? If it's a good business move then so be it. Taking a page from PAC's book. Floyd is about that paper so if SHO is offering a sweeter pot....Floyd will take advantage of it. It's good for boxing to have healthy competition between the two Cable network Giants.

I thought Floyd calls his own shots?:huh Not that I take him at face value but with something like this I would expect that he would have a say.

Good for Floyd. Showtime has WAY better commentary anyway. I can't stand HBO commentary other than Roy Jones.

a year ago, schaeffer promised to deliver floyd in exchange for getting all of showtime's dates.

there were never any floyd and hbo disagreement being reported, the only explanation for this move is gbp's cozy relationship with espinoza.... gbp pressured floyd into switching.

He dedicated the whole Fight Game show to PEDs and highlighted Marquez for ****s sake. That was disgraceful :verysad

Then says Marquez' win wasn't important enough to move him up the P4P list because Pac had gotten older and wasn't the same......like Marquez isn't 40 or something  :patsch Whatthe****

I don't mind which network Floyd fights on, I'm as likely to listen to the BoxNation call anyway. The most important part of this deal BY FAR is that Floyd is suggesting he is planning for 6 more fights. Hopefully Showtime is paying out the money on a per-fight basis, which would improve the chances of Floyd actually going through with all 6 fights. Plus, 6 fights in 30 months is a MUCH busier schedule than Floyd has had in MANY years!!! This is good news for boxing fans!!!

It's always Floyd's call. He's not a congressman puppet from the Philippines.

Golden Boy ordered all their boxers to showtime and that's that.

They have no right to question that.
time for a new slogan for Mayweather:

"I love SHOWTIME, showtimes my home"
