Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

Floyd will probably fight a bunch of STIFFs until Pacquiao can properly recover from the JMM KO.

This deal almost certainly ensures that Floyd will never fight on HBO again...

HBO commentary has been terrible for years now. Merchant always complaining about how bad the fight is, Lampley calling things that aren't happening... the only good one is Roy Jones and a lot of the time he just wants to talk about himself. Kellerman is just a hype man and has been getting progressively worse imo. Lederman doesn't even watch the fight, he just scores the fight for whoever the crowd is making more noise for. **** HBO boxing, they ruined themselves.

:yep I thought anyone even remotely associated with Margarito was your boy? For instance that's why you forgive El Titere for having a "boring" atypical style for a Mexican, because he's managed by Tony?

Anyway yeah Gonzalez Jr. is gonna be cracking skulls like coconuts in the next few years. :toney

I can't believe all of the HBO hate. Lamps is the best.

Are you all ready for even more Mauro Ranallo and Jim Gray?

    Those guys are peripheral annoyances.

Lampley is horrible, and he's the face of HBO Boxing. (whereas Bernstein is the face of Showtime)

    Kinda risky for showtime..

if floyd shows his age and losses to guerrero they are stuck with paying this guy for up to six fights (or as long as floyd keeps exercising the agreement)

floyd's marketability is 100% predicated on him staying undefeated.

nah people would pay to see floyd get beat more than once. Its risk free IF he fights

Berstein is good as an analyst, but Lampley is the best announcer in the business IMO. He gets adrenaline flowing and he's called so many historic fights.

And I know Lamps overreacts sometimes. I know. But the worst Jim Lampley is still miles ahead of the best Mauro Ranallo.
