In 2006, Baldomir was lineal champion at WW. Pacquiao was unranked at WW. He is irrelevant here.

In 2012, Cotto was the top ranked JMW titlist. Pacquiao was unranked at JMW. He is irrelevant here.

In 2013, Alvarez was the lineal champion at JMW. Pacquiao was unranked at JMW. He is irrelevant here.

The only 1 of those 4 where Pacquiao is relevant was 2010 against Shane Mosley. While Pac was regarded P4P above Mosley, very few at the time ranked Pacquiao ahead of Mosley at WW, as Pac was coming off his big W over Cotto while Mosley was coming off his big W over the man who knocked Cotto out the fight before.

Everybody has different opinions for who they wanted so-and-so to fight on such-and-such date in such-and-such division. I have those opinions and ideals too. In my dream matchmaker fantasy where I play God, Mayweather wouldn't have the exact same resume he has today. Neither would any other single fighter in history, period.

I don't judge fighters by who they don't fight.

I judge fighters only by who they do fight.

Mayweather has fought an almost certain 4 different number 1 fighters since moving up to WW, dramatically opposite of the thread title and TS's sentiments.

See previous post pointing out that Pacquiao was not the "number 1 fighter" in the division at the time that Mayweather beat the actual number 1 fighter in the division.

troll..............you are honestly saying mosley, cotto, baldy, hatton where tougher fights then if duckweather fought pacman? If so why was their such a huge demand dummy.........pacman was a huge threat to duckweather 0 thats why he ducked him......................

none of those fighters are nowhere near the level of pacman inlude duckweather to the list as well

That is not what I am saying at all.

Being "a number 1 fighter" in a division and being "the number 1 fighter in a mythical P4P sense" are two different things.

In 2006, when Floyd beat Baldomir for the lineal crown, Pacquiao was busy redeeming his loss down at 130 pounds... Imagine if Floyd had fought a recently defeated super featherweight up at welterweight. That is what you are trying to say. Sorry, but Baldomir '06 at WW >>>>> Pacquiao '06 at WW.

You need to learn your dates, divisions, and general rankings of the time in order to contribute to this thread.

I responded to your post, but for the sake of responding to this question literally:

Mosley entered the Ring P4P list the same year that Mayweather did in 1998.

Pacquiao entered the Ring P4P list in 2002-2003.

So, for about 5 years, Mosley was ahead of Pacquiao on the p4p list.
