Mayweather has no power

He doesnt have concussive power,but with his combo of speed,accuracy and timing he can hurt you,specially if you get hit with something you didnt saw.

The reason why Mayweather doesn't have more KO's, IMO, is because his opponents are happy to lose by decision. They almost never sell out and do what is necessary to win.

The notable exception here is Hatton who came to FIGHT and paid the price.

Most guys who come right @ Floyd are getting KO'ed...

 

Is not that he has no power , is that he is so defensvie and hes content to just pull a descision......

 

Matweather isn't a power puncher, but he does have enough pop to keep you off balance and second guessing your attacks. Floyd has great timing and catches opponents coming in crash into his fast fist.

 

Pac/Marquez 2 only had one knockdown and it was in the 3rd round. You're referencing the first fight, which was long ago. And you don't note that Mayweather knocked Marquez down once in the 2nd.

Not comparing their power, because Pac obviously has more power to knock guys out, but at least get your facts straight.

 

His power comes from what his speed generates.

He dont really sit down on his punches, he just throws shots to land and score and stays out of harms way.

 

What is Pac's Knockouts to wins since he lost to Morales? I think hes Koed or TKOed everybody except Barrera the 2nd time and Marquez, Oh ya and Larios.

I tend to agree, the only one TKO on PBF list was just more because Ricky hit the ring post

 

I think Mayweather has enough power to hurt most of his opponets, but he doesn't throw enough to put people away. This is due to his defensive first type of fighting. If he just let his hands go a little more; he would be knocking out more of his fighters. I don't think anything will change against Pacquiao. Although; if he knows he is losing a decision late in the fight; maybe he lets his hands go to pull off the fight?

 

Dumb thread. Saying one man has no power because another guy has more knockouts then him in his last few fights.

 

Props to you for being objective and saying something positive about floyd even though you dislike him.
