He stopped Hatton with the help of the ringpost. Floyd had demonstrated his power at lower weight. He has not been KOing his later opponents because his hands became brittle. It is a well known fact and Pac will surely exploit that weakness when they fight.

mayweather is on steroids, it just don't show in the tests, but he's gotta be into something until there is evidence that he's not

I agree. Mayweather is on something. But it doesnt matter because he's gonna need against pacman. Pac is just way to fast with too much power. Mayweather will be running around the whole ring while trying to sneak in a quick leading left uppercut, but with no power. Pac will endure the impact and counter with a blinding left overhead that will end mayweathers career. He will follow with wick combinations while Mayweather ducks for cover. Pacman will then capitalize on the opportunity and like with anybody else he faces, they will not be able to block the wrath of the pacman. He is too accurate with his attacks and his fists are too small to be easily blocked. You will end up ducking and blocking for nothing because it's just to quick and percise. It will be a easy kill.

Clearly they don't even need to fight, since random forum poster UpperStr8 has already seen the fight in his mind. Everyone go back to what you were doing, the superfight has already been decided.

    Here we go again...

Those were ages ago, my friend, when Pac was still fighting using his fingers.

"I am satisfied...I did my best against someone who has already spent time fighting at welterweight and I still gave him some problems. I knew that the fight was going to be difficult and even though he caught me good and sent me to the canvas,

now that he's had a couple of days to reflect on his unanimous decision loss to Floyd Mayweather. Despite losing nearly every single round on the scorecards, Marquez was upbeat about his performance and plans on continuing to campaign at a higher weight rather than return to the lightweight division.

. Now it's time to rest, return in 2010 and try something at super lightweight with fighters like Ricky Hatton...I need to talk to the team, but I would to make history at the age of 36," Marquez added, hinting that he plans on campaigning in the 140-pound division to try and make history by becoming the first Mexican to win a world title in four different weight classes, a feat that 3-time world champion Erik Morales fell short of when he lost a very close unanimous decision to David Diaz two years ago.

Well that settles it, clearly the guy has no power and that's why Marquez just walked him down and beat him up.

How bout this? Floyd has knocked out 25 guys, so we have evidence that he CAN knock people out. On the other hand no one has ever knocked Floyd out, so we have no evidence Floyd can be knocked out. And Pac has been knockedo ut, so we know that Pac can be knocked out. Therefore Floyd has a better chance of knocking Pac out than the reverse.

This is all based on past fights, just like the OP, so surely it is scientifically valid.

Mayweather's career at WW is a joke.

-- Gift decision against an old Oscar De La Hoya
-- 10 rounds to KO Ricky Hatton?
    -- UD over a 36-year-old, 20 lbs. overweight Marquez?
-- Hasn't fought a welterweight in 2+ years yet claims to be the best WW?

    Pathetic.

I don't understand how people say the ring post knocked down Hatton...That mother****er got hit so hard he flew halfway across the ring, the ring post just made his trip to the canvas a lot shorter than it was going to be...

You're not a lightweight if you weigh 144 pounds. And failing to knock a guy that you hit a lot out isn't indicative of a lack of ability to EVER knock anyone out.

Pac landed 265 on a very faded Barrera in their 2007 fight and couldn't put him away. It took Pac 230 punches, including 180 power punches to put David Diaz away. 224 on a weight drained oscar, including 195 power punches, and Oscar never even looked wobbly.

A lot of things matter like the other guy in the ring, your strategy in the fight, and whether or not you really WANT to knock the guy out. Floyd never got out of second gear in the Marquez fight. He rarely looked even remotely concerned about putting Marquez away. Fact is, Floyd hasn't been a finisher for the long time. Doesn't mean he can't do it, he just doesn't.

Mayweather is not a big puncher, that’s for sure. Pac is not either. He landed clean power punches at well on Delahoya and never had him in serious trouble. Even against Cotto, who has a very suspect chin to say the least, it took him eleven long rounds to KO him.

Pacman has unbelievable speed and footwork. PBF's footwork is also great and both poses unbelievable hand speed, pac might have the edge there.

The Department where Pac stands out is Heart. Also as Floyad said, he has much more to lose.

I think that’s why Pac would win.
