De La Hoya is not higher on the ATG list than Mosley and if he is, it's based on hype and fame, not actual in-ring accomplishments

I agree. Shane cannot beat Mayweather. Shane beat up Margarito and it was a good win, but Shane cannot beat Mayweather. Do I think Mayweather is a great fighter? No.. Really Mayweather cannot do much with his career anymore. I think he has blown his prime years on thinking about if he really wants to box or not. Now he is a little older and will not fight anyone good. I think Floyd will go down as a good fighter and make it into the hall of fame. But not be all time great. He does not have the resume.

Floyd has nothing to prove 140 lbs and below. I believe he fought and beat the best at those weight class.

Corrales-Castillo-Manfredy-Gatti etc etc Hatton the best at 140 lbs he beat at welterweight.

As far as being the best welterweight.. He didn't fight the best out there.
    Margarito-Cotto-Williams-Mosley-Cintron etc

SO if he decides to stay retired without fighting at least 2 welterweight(Williams-Mosley) since cotto and margarito just loss their last fight. Then his LEGACY will always be questioned. :D

At least Antonio Margarito fought the best welterweight today
cotto-Cintron-Williams-Mosley-Clottey.. even tho he lost some of those fights he still had the guts(balls) to face them unlike the so called BEST WELTERWEIGHT :D:lol::lol:

Good post but I disagree. He's already and ATG. He'a arugably the best 130 pound fighter of all time and is a H2H terror at that weight for anyone in boxing history. You don't win belts from 130-154 linear in 3 P4P #1 for 3 years P4P top 10 for 10 Ring Fighter of the year for 1998 and 2007 undefeated and not be an ATG.:deal You can't honestly say that there are 100 fighters in history who have better accomplishements than that.

Not so sure about this right now, we will see what Shane ends up doing when its time for him to retire, as of now I would say Shane still has a slight edge over Mayweather, your only arguement between these two is that Shane has some losses.

Floyd would have a couple of those himself if he had the balls to fight the very best.

PBF isn't a real WW. Lets see Margo go up to lets say 168 and take on Kessler, Taylor and Bute then we'll talk.

Please Shane isn't even the best fighter of his era. His ATG ranking is not better than PBF way too many loses. Not to mention PBF tried to fight Shane back in 2006 but Mosley turned him down on HBO to go on vaction and to get his tooth fixed blame Shane for not giving us this fight.:deal

I didnt read the whole thing just because I dont even agree with the heading...Floyd does or i should say did have planty to prove in the ring...There were some fights that should have happened before he retired...

Mosley turned him down becuase DLH was attempting to set up a fight with him and Floyd should be grateful that it played out that way, he got a win over DLH something shane did twice before, and he made some big money to fight a semi shot Oscar.

Had the mosley fight came off, perhaps Floyd would have his first Loss to date you cant say you know for sure, especially when Floyd didnt exactly have an easy night with DLH who lost to Mosley twice.

lol nice excuse  he is still fighting at 147 lbs which is the welterweight division. He even went up to fight at 154 lbs and fought delahoya. the point is he claims to be the best but he didn't even fight the best at his division.

Floyd fans is bashing margarito. At least margarito fought the best At 147 lbs. That's something floyd never did.:lol:

It's not an excuse it's a fact.:deal How many fights did PBF have at 147 and how many did he have at 130?:hi:
Atleast PBF moved up 5 dvisions and won major belts in all 5. How many divisons did Margo move up? How many belts has he won? How many times has he been Ring Fighter of the Year? How many losses does he have? How many times has Margo loaded his gloves?:hi::deal A margo fan bashing PBF the ****ing hilarious.:rofl
