Put it this way, those were challenges that he couldn't maneuver himslef around, after he beat good fighters a couple of times, he just became a business man. He never pursued a challenge unless it was unavoidable. It wasn't a constant thing for him, I can't blame him for wanting to make the most out of his career moneywise, but then again you can't have both. It was up to him decide which route to take.

Okay, Oscar(best at 154) wasn't a big fight or challenge, neither was Corrales(P4P #5 when they fought I believe), nor was Genaro Hernandez(Best SFW when they fought), nor was Castillo, or Judah, or Mosley, or Hatton, or Ortiz... For your sake I'll assume you are trolling

 

Good fighters but not great fighters. He should have beaten Corrales and Castillo. Pacman took on Oscar and moved up and took the chance. Fought big guys like Margarito when Mayweather never would under those circumstances.

Yea but that wasn't really my point. The other poster said Floyd NEVER went for big fights or challenges. Those two fights alone prove otherwise. Also you can't blame Floyd for every fight not happening. There is alot of politics that go into boxing. Bob Arum said himself that Floyd would fight Marg and Cotto.

 

What? Manny has nothing to do with this. If Manny always fights the best, why was he never undisputed champion? In 8 weight classes he couldn't get one undisputed title. Also Marg and Hoya were irrelevant when Manny fought them. There is no comparison.
