He NEVER is the fan favorite at his fights? Especially since they take place in his adopted hometown for the past two decades or so. . .

Even against lesser known, non-ppv guys like Ortiz, Floyd was being overwhelmingly "booed"?

Has he ever been the fan favorite at a fight?

Do you think it's that majority of his fans are hte type who can't afford to go to vegas fights?

his fans don't have any money. a few celebs sure but the actual people...i guess they pay to see if someone can shut him up.

Some sort of correlation between being a Mayweather fan, and being unemployed/on welfare? :think

Or just not being paid like that? Not that you really have to even be "paid" to go to Vegas for a weekend once or twice a year. . . Most college kids with a part-time job could do that?

10 people paying $50 apiece for the PPV = 1 guy paying $500 for a ticket.

Floyd makes his living playing a villian to attract 1 million PPV buys, not catering to ticket buyers. Fighting him is such a big deal that the other guy's fans will pay hoping to see an upset.

You don't have to like the guy to see he's great at generating revenue.

The cheapest tickets for the Cotto fight were 200 bucks and all the tickets under 500 bucks were sold out within 5 minutes.

Let's be real, guys like Mayweather will struggle to gain support outside of their ethnic group in boxing. Black Americans, outside of Atlanta, really don't go out to live sporting events in full force. Luckily for Mayweather, they do buy ppv.

But still, wouldn't they want to go support their guy live in person?

Pacquiao, Marquez, Cotto, etc. all manage to bring in fans by the droves to support them in person?

I can only speak for myself.. .But in my experiences most people with decent jobs plan vacations ahead... Mayweather's fighting schedule isn't the most consistent, so I'd have a hard time planning my vacations around when he's fighting.. Last year I went to Vegas in August, booked my trip and hotel before he planned to face Ortiz in September, so I was very upset. Booked another trip to Vegas around the same time this year at the end of August beginning of September, and he's now fighting in May, so I cannot go to Vegas to see him again.

Also as Bball stated, his decently priced tickets go by very quickly. I like Mayweather a lot but I'm not paying $1400 for fight tickets alone for me and my girl to see him face just anybody.. Has to be a very very good matchup, while we could see a Pacquiao fight for $50 at Cowboy Stadium in comparison. Get it?

You ever been out of town while being black? Every one looking at you, cops following you, wack ass ******* barrel food on the road. I stay my ass on the south side, smoke a couple of blunts, drink a bottle of Patron, cook some ribs and order the PPV. **** all that traveling bull****.
