I paid 1300 for a ticket to Cotto fight.

Plus airfare, 250 per night at the MGM and about 3000 budgeted for spending while I'm there.

its simple, not all, but most of his fans are black. but he fights in vegas, a place with mostly mexicans and white people.

put him in an arena in somewhere like atlanta, detroit, NY, LA, Oakland, the south, midwest, or the eastcoast and youll see a big difference on whos the crowd favorite.

as u can see Peterson can sell tickets very well in DC but not in Vegas. do u think Rios would have alot of people show up to support him in somewhere like detroit instead of vegas and california?

His fans are just different. I was at the Mosley fight and it was about 70% black and the hotel vibe was right out of the ATL for the weekend.

14,000 people are not paying top dollar to watch Ortiz despite who was receiving the cheers from the crowd.

A lot of places root for the underdog, and Floyd was fighting a Mexican American on Mexican Independence Day weekend...and Mexicans travel as well as anyone.

Right but they are there to see their boy against Mayweather. If Ortiz was fighting Mike Jones or Berto, they don't bother.

Put the fight in a city with a large black population and you would get more of his fans.

Little mouths to feed. Floyd doesnt fight too often, so there is limited opportunity. PPV is convenient, a better view of the fight and cool to put small events together. I'm all but decided to make it out to his next one. Vegas is just a hop away.

Floyd always starts out as the villain, but as the fight goes on, he becomes respected. Everyone wants to see the superstar get beat when the fight starts, but when Floyds skill takes over, it seems fans become appreciative of his will to win.

Since it's a materialistic argument you make, what do you have? As in where do you live, what do you own, what's your profession, how much money do you have? Before you catch yourself in your own troll lie, I think you said you cleaned shitters at a local high school right?

Next time Floyd fights on the east coast let me know, I can't make it
to Vegas. I'm certain Floyd understands:thumbsup
