Fresh off the biggest fight in boxing history(in terms of revenue generated, not adjusting for inflation), Floyd Mayweather Jr. is set to take on Ricky Hatton next Saturday in what is easily the fight of the millennium. The two prime, undefeated, p4p fighters will put on a show that people won't soon forget. Their elite status seems to be the only thing that these two share in common. This fight is a tale of two contrasting styles; boxer vs. puncher, brain vs. brawn, U.S vs. U.K.

Despite the fact that he's a vulgar, foul mouthed ingrate, Hatton is still one hell of a fighter. His speed, strength, tencacity, and commitment to the body give him all the tools needed to beat the Pretty Boy. If Hatton were American and if Floyd were British, Hatton would probably be the favorite. So who am I taking? Well, Hatton is younger, stronger, hits harder, and is the best pressure fighter in the sport. Logic dictates, that he'll win the fight. However, despite his numerous physical disadvantages, I believe that Mayweather's speed, footwork, and ring intelligence will be enough to carry him to victory against Hatton, and stamp his legacy as the best fighter of his generation.

**** fight of the year people, this is the fight of the millennium:deal

Mayweather is a loud and foul-mouthed too. And if he was British, I bet he would still be the favorite. His talent and skills cannot be overlooked.

I am very hyped about it, and I wanna know who will be the winner, BUT in terms of entertainment, this whole fight wouldnt worth 1 round of what Vazquez vs. Marquez was

Sorry - Corales Castillo I has more fight of the millenium credentials at this stage.

If the Hatton gets off the canvass twice in round 10 of a war and stops Floyd then I'll agree, but sorry - NOTHING surpases C v C I this millenium to date.

Oh yeah, when Calzaghe fought Lacy, Calzaghe was clearly the superior boxer, with more exerience, and speed. Somehow, his skills were overlooked and the younger, stronger, harder hitting Lacy was installed as the favorite. You best believe Hatton would be the favorite if he were American and Mayweather were British.

Floyd is one of the best fighters I've ever seen. However, no one is unbeatable. Not SRR, SRL, Ali, Tyson, no one. I believe Mayweather will win, but Hatton has the style and skillset neccessary to beat Floyd. Yes, I certainly called Hatton a vulgar, foul mouthed ingrate, but that has nothing to do with what goes on in the ring. Hatton is a primitive cretin who specializes in low brow humor; consisting of immature dick and fart jokes, there's no getting around this. However, when the bell rings, none of that matters.

Four factors go into a true fight of the millennium. Action, skill, hype, and significance. Corales/Castillo I hade plenty of action, good skill, but lacked in the other two department. Mayweather/Hatton is filled to the brim in 3 of the categories, I am full confident that the 4th category(action) will be in abundance during this fight.
