First of all, I've posted clear evidence that Bivol is marginally bigger in size than Canelo (if you want to refute this, illl link you to my post). Also, Bivol was deemedd by many as looking poor in his last two fights to Canelo. Eddie Hearn admitted it was a cherrypick. Secondly, the A side rules, people sing to the A sides tunes.. Because they hold the money, if their opposition does not agree to fight them on their terms they risk the fight not being made. This will be too big of opportunity for the B side to give up, and usually if there's a lot of money on the line, theyll bow to the A sides terms. This is elementary , basic stuff. Thirdly, what kind of logic is that? You can't cherrypick a smaller fighter? That's not even an argument. Answer me these Q braindamage, if you have the cajones - did Hatton look trash at 147 lbs against Collazo? (hint, yes he did) did he not move straight back down to 140lbs for several fights after? How is the A side Mayweather (the money guy) not being considered as dragging Hatton up to 147? You guys blow my mind with your naivety
You didn't even answer any of the questions or even understand the lines of logic I'm putting forward. These are some very basic lines of logic. Some people you just cant get through to. You are one of those people.
It was worse than that; Cortez from the beginning of the fight would constantly break up a clinch when Hatton had a free hand, but would let them fight it out when Mayweather had the free hand. It was only once Hatton's head had gone and Mayweather was in the ascendancy he started to let Hatton do any inside work. If you really look into Cortez' performance, his positioning was very suspect throughout the fight too. Often positioning himself on the blindside when Floyd went to work. Now some might say that is the genius of Floyd, but I would say Cortez has been in the pocket of A-side camps since at least the 80s. Happy to make sure fights had the correct outcome. I doubt Hatton was ever beating Floyd, but he was fighting two men that night outside his natural weight class
Pbf has tried to become lineal at every weightclass and he accomplished this in all but one weight and that was 140 because the so called best version of Hatton ducked him. That's all that needs to be said. None of this pbf saw him struggling against Collazo at 147 stuff. No pbf previously tried to fight him years earlier so that kills your ridiculous argument. In your mind you think pbf cherrypicked a guy who was p4p top 5 and prime who called him out after refusing to fight him years earlier. This was the same Hatton , he had no answers for pbf and would always lose to him. Pbf knew he could beat Hatton at 140 when Hatton ducked when he and cotto looked terrified as they sat ringside for the gatti beatdown. Hatton said **** that I don't want any parts of that and declined the fight pbf for the lineal championship at 140.
You haven't said anything different to what you have said before. And I've already answered this below. Fancy answering the bold/underlined in below?
I understand your dumb argument. Of course you're going to try and bash pbf and say he wasn't serious and it doesn't mean he would've fought him anyway at 140. That's nonsense pbf had a proven track record of trying to become lineal in every weight he fought at but by your logic he really didn't want to fight Hatton at 140. Yeah that makes sense. Going by pbfs career of being lineal in 4 weights saying that it didn't mean he would fight Hatton at 140 who was the lineal champ doesn't add up, it's wishful thinking. Of course pbf wanted to fight Hatton back when both were at 140. There's nothing to suggest otherwise.
You mean a shop worn zoo who quit on his stool and never fought again??? Yeah Hatton looked impressive low blowing an old zoo to a win.
Again, repeating myself. Hatton had looked good at 140lbs. When he got to 147lb, he looked objectively poor. He was LOOKING good at 140 for whatever that may be (fighting smaller opponents, more optimal fight night weight), he looked poor at 147lbs. And that's why, after Hatton went down to 140lbs, a few fights LATER, Mayweather asked him to move up..hatton being the B side obliged for megabucks
You're whole argument is wishful thinking and full of holes. One fighter has fought in 5 weights and was lineal in all but 1 but didn't really want to fight Hatton at 140. Stop!
Hatton called pbf out and said he would go up to 147 to fight him. He was more than likely embarrassed by his duck job of pbf at 140.
Pimp.. Youre criticising one of if not the best Hatton win. Against old Tszyu.. You do realise this does nothing for your argument. You discrediting Mayweathers win against Hatton by spitting on Hatton resume. I agree with your judgement of Hatton with over zoo You've just scored about ten own goals here bud
