Mayweather hits just as hard as Canelo

If I remember correctly, Canelo had Mosley hurt several times in their bout.

 

Floyd does not hit harder than Canelo, but he sure hits more sharply. Mosley never saw the shots Floyd was hitting him with so he couldn't brace himself, so they felt damaging. Sure, Floyd can hit. He just can't hit hard. You can be prepared for a real puncher and it still hurts you. If you could see Floyd's shots coming, probably like Manny's, you might be able to take them better, but their timing is so good they feel damaging. If Canelo could land as sharply as Floyd he would have knocked Mosley out.

 

Completely agree - Canelo is not as big a threat to Floyd's style as prime Pacquiao, who I think would have been Floyd's toughest fight by a long way and a 50-50 one...

I think Floyd beats Canelo in by a tight points win - but Canelo does remain the biggest threat to Floyd at the moment

Mosley wasnt running holding for life vs Canelo like he did vs Mayweather and Pacquaio when he got buzzed, he sottd there and fought back, I guess people gonna continue to act like Shot Mosley wasnt outworking and laying hands on Canelo in the latter rounds

 

I'm of the thought that Mayweather-Alvarez happens in Sept so I wont get into the ducking thing but considering that Alvarez has been fighting unranked 140-147 lbers and not been destroying them outside of Lopez while Mayweather has been fighting ranked fighters from those same divisions and forcing them not to engage I''d say its probably comparable. Alvarez power might be slightly overrated due to him fighting nothing but smaller guys

 

canelos powers overrated man, guys fought old/small bums and still doesn't have as many ko's as id like to see for his opponent levels. He's just as strong as a usual middleweight would be, nothing special in his punching power. It just makes you laugh that little bit more when you realise he's fighting people like josesito who came from 135 or something and canelos fightng in a class too low for himself lol crazy the size advantages he has. He's only staying at 154 because once he moves up he's fighting guys his own size but taller tham him.

 

also crazy the credit he gets for beating trout, alot of people are forgetting how close that fight actually was, i had it as a draw...

 

open scoring ruined that fight and so did the judges ... after 4 rounds i had it trout 3-1 yet two judges had it 4-0 canelo or something.. you gotta be kidding me

 

Trout lost focus knowing he was losing and stopped trying to jab and move, causing him to get put on his ass, fight was a farce just like the last 5 or so Canelo matches

 

When Floyd throws his whole body into a shot, it is really heavy but for the most part, he doesn't.

 

Ridiculous some people dismissing Canelo's win against Trout.

Trout was put on his ass, but now that only happened because of open scoring.

Close fight my ass. Canelo looked bored out there and was playing with trout making him miss 70% to 80%of his shots while Canelo would counter with bombs.

Troutards....show me ONE GIF or ONE highlight vid of trout landing something...ANYTHING on Canelo...i'm begging you.
